Not fussed about age when looking at a decent keeper. Many thought Navas was past it. Hardly an investment but if he seals up the back, staying up will more than justify the cost.

Ignore the Geordies, he played there 8+ years ago as a kid, what they think from back then is absolutely meaningless now with the experience he's gained and development he's had.
Far more interested in the fact Strasbourg fans seem pretty upset that he's leaving, that's a good barometer when compared to the fan reactions of the clubs from which we bought our current two.

Turner & Vlach have played 22 league games between them this year and kept 3 clean sheets.
Sels has played 19 games in Ligue 1 and also kept 3 clean sheets.
But, unlike Turner & Vlach, Sels hasn't been credited with making single error leading to goals this season.
Sounds like he's used to pressure, but may be able to handle it better. We'll see I guess.
