Here we are at the sharp end of the season as we sit uncomfortably in 17th place facing a team in 3rd (at time of post) fighting for the title.

Manchester City are beatable.

This also comes at a time when Forest have been the media focus for all the wrong, but very justified, reasons with high profile officiating controversy on the pitch and supporter unrest with rocketing ST costs.

Manchester City are beatable.

At any other time in the season this fixture would probably be considered a ‘free hit’ but a loss could see Luton leapfrog us dragging us into the relegation zone.

Manchester City are beatable.

The club is angry, the manager is fuming, the players are maddened and the fans are f***ing furious so that energy will make this fixture a hard one for our opposition. The City Ground will certainly be a very volatile and intimidating place to play which may work in our favour.

Manchester City are beatable.

It’s time to put our discontent on ice and do what we do best, loud and proud, support our team. Let us show the Premier League, the FA, the PGMOL and every f***er else that we are Nottingham Forest and we can do this. Let’s make this one count.

Man City are indeed beatable, which is why VAR has been stacked in their favour. Not having the PL bother with all the financial crimes laid against them also helps.

Just a side note, there's a precedent already been set for punishment for illegal payments to players.

The punishment was meted out to Swindon Town - they were summarily relegated 2 divisions for that offence.

Fluked a point last season. Why not?
Citeh won't play that tika taka football. So match them for endeavour.
As Sir Brian always demanded, leave it all on the pitch.

I don't expect anything from this game. I would be content if we can contain the scale of the loss to 3 goals. That would pretty much ensure if it came to GD at end of season we would be OK.

Our route to survival is winning 2 of the last 3, so we do whatever we need to in this game to focus on that. If that means heavy rotation so be it.

With Arsenal plopping 5 on Chelsea last night, goal difference is likely to be critical at the top end of the Premier Corruption League.
So I am dreading the number of goals the Emirates put past us.
Mrs S says: we got a draw last season and we shall get a draw this season.
The delusions that resulted in her marrying me are still plaguing her.

I can hear the Man city fans, every tme we get in their box cat-calling "PENALTY".
Whatever the merits of Forest's owner's stance, football fans have always, and will always find the humour in any situation.
If we can just keep Haarland, VAR and Hooper quiet we might not lose.
See: gallows humour from a football fan

They’re playing at Brighton tomorrow and I reckon Sunday will be their 9th match in four weeks. So we ought to be able to keep it under 5-0?

Anything less than 4-0 would be a good result.
If we play the Man City that turned up vs Chelsea at Wembley, we actually have a decent chance of getting something.

A Sunday home fixture against Manchester City always brings back memories of the
Duncan McKenzie demolition job in 1974.
I can’t go this game as I am attending a wedding but I shall be more interested in updates from
the City Ground than the ceremony itself.

Remember it well! Duncan McKenzie and George Lyall. Fantastic afternoon. We could have got to the final that year had it not been for the bloody Geordie thugs running on the pitch and kicking shit out of Dave Serella. Another case of us being screwed by the governing football bodies in favour of a "bigger club."
