I enjoyed watching us today. Enjoyed the press, the effort, the instinctive one-touch passing, the fact that we actually dominated a match and played like a Premiership team. No doubt we should have won but we equally could have been lost due to another defensive brainfart. Still a valuable point, I feared the worst after going behind. Play like that and we'll get at least 4 points from Everton, Sheff U, Burnley. That will be enough, Luton are spent. In spite of everything, performances like today's shows much we've progressed since promotion. It would be such a travesty to be relegated due to the #$!#ing PSR bull#$_@. All the front 4 + Danilo did well. Yates sadly I found a bit lacking. Nuno (the LB) looked like he discovered a football for the first time tonight. Poor Toffolo. Highlight of the match (albeit it being due to our cockup) was Murillo's miraculous goalline block out of nowhere. What a man.

I've said it before and 'ill say it again...

Those late goals, both home and away against Luton are going to bite us on the @rse.

Coulda/shoulda been another six points in front of them.
We'd be 7 clear of them if wed just held on. 11 if you add back on the points deduction

I think it feels a bit like two dropped points but in fairness the overall performance was quite good barring the brain farts at the back so I'm not distraught.

April Danilo is incredible, MGW was again good and Reyna showed promise. I thought CHO was decent but like everyone else had their great moments and also moments of disappointment. I liked the new corners too.

I had this down before the game as a draw because its Wolves and we dont seem to beat them these days, I think we might survive and it will be picking up draws rather than wins. Hopefully Chelsea still have poch employed when they play us as their players seem to want to get him the sack and we get a win in that one.

Imagine us safe, by 1 point , winning at Burnley with the last kick of the game being a corner to Burnley...

Well that's my next nightmare sorted...

I don't understand the posts saying that's us done. We're essentially 2 points clear of Luton with the GD and just have to match them for a few weeks.

I'm not saying we're safe by any stretch but I'd much rather be in our position than theirs, particularly if we get a point or so back from the appeal.

Don't worry, even though they score the corner we get a point back from our FFP appeal after season finishes to stay up.

. So much potential in this team and will darn shame if we are relegated and see the core of this team gone
that has been my sadness for a few weeks, there is a core of players that are miles ahead of anything I have ever had the pleasure of watching at Forest and it’s going to get pulled apart, it’s so gutting.

I genuinely believe we are a manager and a few players away from being stable lower half team. Sadly though we will be asset stripped and spend the money on second rate dross

I don't think people on here quite realise that finishing 17th means you don't win most weeks.
The average is 9 wins and 8 draws. Or 21 losses.

This will be a low haul season. An outlier.

But we're currently on 7 wins, 9 draws so we're not massively off pace.

But enough off pace that overcoming the FFP -4pt could a struggle.

We've just a significantly tougher run in than them, with the home/away factor falling very nicely for them and badly for us.

It's certainly far from over, but I get why people are down about it all too.

Said it on the Relegation Dogfight thread that our form isn't even that bad:

5 games - 10th
10 games - 14th
15 games -14th
20 games - 15th

But perhaps more crucially in each of those tables we are above Luton

Based on that I still can't see them equalling our points total over the next five games, much less picking up 1 or 2 more

However it's crazy season when it gets this close to the finishing line and it throws up freak results, which is what's making me nervous

We should expect to be competitive on the remaining games, except for city.

Doesn't mean we should expect to win them, I imagine our expected points pre game will average to about 1 point per game.

Lutons is probably slightly less, 0.8 maybe.

It's going to be close and very uncomfortable but we currently have the better hand after the flop.

Just need to see the turn then the river.
