There's a write up about Johnny Haynes in tonight's match programme. I saw him play at Forest in 1965 we lost 3-2 but my abiding memory was this bloke was real class. 56 caps for England he made everything look effortless.
I think he was the first £100 a week player because Fulham thought so much of him. When I lived in Putney the default games (if not Forest) were Fulham or Chelsea. Johnny Haynes was not quite the top player then, sadly, as he suffered broken legs early in the 60s.
