I think they both started badly as we were so deep that Barkley had acres of space to move into at all times.

Since then, Sangare has grown into the game and looks pretty good.

Yates is out of his depth in a 2 IMO.

Not pretty other than the 10 minute we looked like scoring and did. Then immediately went back to being all over the place.

Got away with one for their disallowed goal. How can we let a corner come straight into the centre of the box, that low, like that?

Sangare been shite imo, two yards off everything. Same as Origi, it's like we're playing with 9.5 men.

Sangare has been ok - had a wobbly five minutes but mostly assured in his passing and getting involved defensively (in his own way - he's turned away from easily but gets back to his man usually over ten yards).

We do need to suffocate the middle of the park better and make it a lot more congested. Far too much space in there for a small pitch.

I'd definitely get Elanga back out on the right. Their left full back is makeshift, he's pissing right sided midfielder. Get Elanga running at him and CHO on the left

The frustrating thing is that it's so simple to fix.

Push the defence 10 yards further up the pitch and all of a sudden the game becomes infinitely easier for everyone.

And throw in a central MGW a bit deeper offering some support and an easy out ball to feet when we do get it.
