Presume there must be some sort of plan to manage Doughty

When I saw the Brighton line up I wondered whether it was with the Luton game in mind

With them playing their game in hand tonight, and us allegedly knowing the points deduction by Saturday, I suspect we are going to need to go on the offensive

If we can be above Luton in the league by Saturday evening then I think we stay up
I’d settle to be only a point or two behind Luton on Saturday evening (assuming we know or
points deduction by then).
I think a small deficit is catchable but anything more than 3 points could prove too much.
Let’s hope Luton start by losing tonight.

Yeah, that's BS.

A professional sportsman should do everything to ensure their body is in peak condition. Fasting for a prolonged period of time, for whatever reason, religious purposes or not, is going to have a negative effect.

It's mental the rules that are allowed to be bent in the name of religion.

Why should Muslim players not fast? It is their belief.

At least having Ramadan at this time of year means there are fewer daylight hours than when it is in, for example June.

As usual it's fine until it's not. That time will be when a player suffers a huge health episode as a consequence. It's only a matter of time.

Kouyate, for sure. Nihakhate and Sangarè, probably.
All three of them are, and possibly Boly as well.

Vlachodimos fasts too but that's because he's scared of touching the food not because of religion.

You know that people like professional sportsmen can seek guidance from an Imam who can allow them to continue to eat and not fully fast during Ramadan, yes?

They don't have to fast if they have health issues either but if they're temporary the expectation is that the days are made up afterwards...

IMO it's their belief to do it and if they still choose to then they should be able to. If the club feels that a player's performance is impaired by fasting then I guess they would lose their place.

We said on Saturday that the twats would help Luton.

We should have won at Bournemouth, that we didn't was our own fault. The same can easily be said for away games at Palace and Brentford.

Shit.

A Luton win today and six points deduction incoming on Friday.

f*** sake.

I would say the Pl was nice whilst it lasted but I'm not so sure.

Watching Luton and they look a better “team” than us. Although with the exception of Barkley I can’t say I’d pick any of their players over ours.

If they beat us (4pts from the season off us) and stay up, we can have no complaints - we’ve spent massively, breaking FFP rules on the way, playing mostly scared football and will meekly disappear.

Fair play to Luton for respecting nobody and having a go each game.

Luton are showing how to be clinical.

We’ve had numerous games that have slipped away where we haven’t been clinical.

Sad times.
