This is why the top managers all want to be judged after 3 or 4 transfer windows, as thats the time when all the tools were selected for them.

There's a fair comment that some managers adapt their thinking to their players during the crunch times, but i think that's extended more to managers like Klopp and Guardiola who have the best fall back in their academies.

Agreed,Eddie-even a 4 points deduction in those circumstances keeps us well in the hunt.
The real danger is a couple of defeats this week plus a deduction would probably leave us with too much to do I think.
As we speak it’s all to play for.

Yes, but if a match is billed as a "must win" at this stage and they don't, wouldn't that have the exact opposite effect? There's no point putting that pressure on at this stage.

It’s about believing in the system and structure in place. If you arent getting the results,, as a player , you start to lose faith. I’ve experienced that as a player and coach
