Sauce salad?
We've looked good against some of the top sides this year. We need to look good against those down around us now, which is where the three games after this puts us (depending on which way Fulham go).

Brighton away could be the perfect intro for that - they're a top European playing side (I'm kidding myself but both things are true to an extent). Euro come down and three points on the road? Dare to dream...

I hope you mean for the bench. We need a stable pairing at the back and Omo and Murillo did really well, so don't break them up...
I agree that we need a stable partnership at the back. One of then needs to be Boly, or else we'll continue to concede from set pieces. No-one else can head the ball.

Ok but then I want him and Murillo to be a stable pairing from the next match on...

Hope Aina is fit for this, would love to see him this game to give us more creativity on the left side, but if not Toffs is still a good option to have.

I don’t much about this Brighton side if im being honest, do we need a Boly type of influence in the back or are we okay with Oma and Murillo?

I would also like to see Sangare and Danilo in the midfield, see how that works.

Understand your post and it has its merits of course, some true facts there.
But there is always a but.
We can still do this regardless of possible deductions.
We are more than good enough to get the required points, we have the talent and the desire, proved that against Liverpool.
If the guys had managed to pass out from the back, started Elanga on a sprint towards the goalkeeper, tripped over with the ball somehow ending up in the net off the keepers arse, we would all be massively positive about the future.

I know this is a poor scenario but football has some of the finest margins in the world.

We can still do this, I have no doubt about that
It would obviously be disallowed because the 8 minutes of injury time would have been up.

Can we please get a chant going for Nuno? Or the Big Man? Coops took the songbook so we'll just have to copy and paste over the hits

Trust me if we go down due to this disgusting decisions and a points deductions, Marinakis will take this very far - The Premier League will be found out for what it really is.

I agree the experience he brings is second to none, just feel he ain't as quick as he used to be. Think Omobaidele and murillo our future and they should be the mainstays
They're both very young though.

I would say Boly probably needs to be playing when he is available, because of his size and that having him around with his experience also makes us less vulnerable to silly set piece mistakes.

Would say similar about Felipe, but he is also a bit rash with his dark arts and with VAR and the officials already out to seemingly get us over nothing we are probably risking cards, pens etc having him around. Also he is smaller than Boly and so whilst not exactly deficient size wise doesn't offer the size advantage of playing Boly especially alongside Murillo who is strong but not the tallest and Omowotsits who is tall but not yet particularly built.

Personally I would primarily go with older & younger for the rest of the season. Boly first choice in the older role with Felipe backup and Murillo first choice in the younger role with Omowotsisface as backup there. In the times they have played together Omo and Murillo have done well but two 21 yr olds has a massive experience weakness even though they're talented, and I don't see such inexperienced pairings have ever really been used at this level

Boly's record with us stands out a fair amount though.
So we signed him and he played vs Fulham and I'm sure a few on here thought he was junk.

He didn't get used for a while but then he played the match vs Palace which we won before the WC break. Out of the remaining matches he played before he got injured we only lost the Man U game over Christmas. Arguably we turned the corner vs Brighton at home just before he came back but then we didn't lose when he played in between then and the end of the season. So he played a part in most of our good form last season.

Brighton - W1 D3 L2 after European games this season.

For their European away games:

2-2 @ Marseille / 2-2 @ home to Liverpool
W2-0 @ Ajax / 1-1 @ home to S.United
W1-0 @ Athens / L3-2 @ Chelsea

Following mid-week domestic Cup games, they have lost all three subsequent games.

Injuries to; Mitoma, Pedro, Gilmour and Milner.

Since the New Year they are: W2 D3 L3

Wins - Palace and S.United.
Draws - W.Ham, Wolves and Everton.
Losses - Luton, Spurs and Fulham (all away).

Positive signs…for some of us! 😂

I wouldnt change the team personally, a replica of the Liverpool performance as a whole will see us beat Brighton. Just take your chances & stay switched on until the final whistle.

No chance in hell things can keep conspiring against us.

I see victory here & more points coming in the following 3 games.

I went to the Brighton fixture last season.
We hung on for a 0-0 draw in a game where we barely got out of our own half, and where Brighton were completely frustrated by our park the bus defending.
We didn't put a foot wrong, and despite the one-way traffic, our goalie didn't have a single shot to save worth worrying about.
This season Brighton are not the force they were last season, and Forest are unlikely to sit back and park the bus.
By the way, to say the AMEX is a modern stadium, it is well designed, and Brighton made a real effort to welcome the away supporters.
I haven't been able to get a ticket this season, so I will be seeking out a live stream.
Come on you Reds... another away win is getting to be critical!

I'd like to see Sangare for Yates. I'd keep Dominguez over Danilo though I think.
Yates put in one hell of a shift on Saturday.
And the reward you'd give him is to drop him for a chap we bought at an inflated price, who has yet to show he is worthy of the shirt?
The only change from Satuday I would contemplate is to start with Taiwo, assuming he is fit (which i doubt - he looks a shadow of what he was).
Other than that every man who started v Liverpool deserves to retain the shirt.

I just think Sangare does better at turning over and then retaining possession. Yates did pretty well on Saturday but generally recently he either gives a free kick away, or half wins the ball then gives it away with a loose pass.

I wouldn't have a problem with keeping the same eleven though in fairness.
