Newcastle look tired and their form has really dropped off. For me, Barnes is the big danger and Trippier's set pieces are quality. Whether Burn starts or not, I think we have enough, if we can avoid giving away too many free kicks in the final third. Don't like to tempt fate, but I think we can win this.

C4 recently did a decent 3 part documentary on the strike featuring Shirebrook, the political aspect & in the final episode the stance of the Nottinghamshire miners & the subsequent fall out

Cotgrave had a load of them, that’s true. Calverton also, and Blidworth & Bilsthorpe.

It was a bad time for the whole country and a lot of ordinary law abiding people turned anti police because of how they were treated

There’s loads of retired geordie miners in ollerton. One even told me once when they all first came down one of the areas of pit houses was referred to as little Newcastle.
Seen the first 2 episodes of the strike programme - know my dad won’t watch it, he’s still not forgiven them for throwing a can of ncb yellow paint over his 2.8 capri!
