Well, I watched him yesterday for Werder Bremen against my local side, and he was completely anonymous, and got hooked after 62 minutes.

Nothing he tried came off, and Stuttgart‘s central defenders Waldemar Anton and Dan-Axel Zagadou won’t have had many more comfortable games against an opposing striker this season.

He couldn’t hold the ball up, didn’t seem to get his head up to look for a team-mate enough, and was easily dispossessed too often.

Not for me.

We should sign Dan-Axel Zagadou. What a name!
He is not the fastest, and had a long history of injury problems, but this season, Stuttgart have got him fit and playing, and „Daxo“ is at times dominant at the back (he’s a big lad!) and has become a firm fan favourite.

It is about getting partnerships on the pitch; Daxo is the „stopper“, whilst Waldi Anton (another player I really like, and the Club Captain now) is the „Sweeper“, of the pair. Indeed, Anton has run further than any other VfB player so far this season, an impressive 145km, which is if you think about it, bonkers for a centre back, and the fifth-highest in the league, such is the intensity of Stuttgart‘s pressing game.
