38,000 tickets now apparently,
Taking both sons, at a £1 a pop, might actually get to see some decent football.

How good would it be to get a full house, doubt they will open all the stadium but you never know.

Extra impressive because it's midweek - could have been closer to a full house on a weekend.

I think Forest are bringing over 4,000, some of the wife's family are coming up for it.

Impressive too.

Forrest bringing 6k, fair play.

Should be naughty outside given our past meetings...

Hope that forest c*** with his mouth tattoeed pops along.

He’s dead, died years ago. Poor man drank himself to death.

Almost sold as many tickets as the Etihad or Anfield holds …keep going and could sell as many as almost all the other PL stadiums.

Eagerly anticipating a “can we watch you every week” chant.

Sold out now. 65k with segregation.

That's higher than any other league game bar ours.

Forest are a big strong physical side, they outplayed a good chelsea team in the semi and along with Liverpool are the form side in the u18 youth league, this will be a tough game, we are not great defensively.

Warren Joyce being in charge for Nottingham's U18 side makes the final extra special in my opinion. He was in charge of our reserves for almost a decade.

Shame it's not on tv.

I'm guessing those channels dropped it due to low viewing figures tbh.

Having Sky showing PL games tonight will not help, but United and Forest fans would give them pretty good figures.

Forest away kit is rather loud.

Forest players look terrified to be honest.

there's f***ing empty seats everywhere, did people just bin their ticket?

Huge queues outside, the attendance might have caught us out.

Close from Forest.

Forest have started very brightly. They don’t look fazed at all.

Bit nervous start from us. Lot of long balls.

1-0 Bennett.

Great fk, good header!

The captain leads by example if only that happened with the seniors.

Goal off of a nice header for Bennett off the free kick. Felt the keeper should have done better but we'll take it.

Previous final was between Liverpool and Man City, and the crowd was below 4k. Forest have brought 6k alone.

The PL really is poorer without them in it.

Whoever is taking set pieces for Forrest is delivering some cracking balls into the box.

Only a matter of time before Forest score. United by far the more nervy team here.

Forrest have been the better team since I turned on. Looks like they’ll score/come back at some point unless we get a foot hold in the game or hit them on the counter.

They are winning a lot of the 50:50 duels and second balls.

Forest seem to be fitter, faster and more up for this.

You can see theres a lot of forest players who'll shine at this level because they're bigger and more physical. When they get into grown up football they'll just be average.

Fall over a lot this Forrest side.

1-1. Bad mistake by Vitek. It’s been coming though.

That forest goal was coming. Poor goalkeeping on both goals.

Ouch. Tough end to the half. Good half from Forest though.

Forest deserved their goal.

Tough first half that, this Forest side are a lot more physical. I'm guessing their average age is a year or so above ours?

We're being dominated really, we can't handle their physicality, only Mainoo has and we're not giving him the ball enough.

McNeil hasn't done much either, their CBs have him in their pocket, he needs to change his approach.

Why does every single white player on the pitch apart from Hansen have the exact same haircut? Sideshave and fecking floppy bit on top.

Kids these days.

1-1 the least Forest deserve.

Two goalkeeping errors really. Forest have looked good.

Forest look the better side both on and off the ball. A lot of energy and winning nearly every single 50:50 duel & 2nd balls.

We're dominating them and look far more dangerous. Just need to get the final ball right and we'll get the 2nd.

You've obviously a different stream to everyone else.

Forest are working incredibly hard to stop us playing our game. Be surprised if they can keep it up.

How's that a pen lol

Wasn't even close to the box.

Penchester United are back!

That is one fat ref, probably knackered and guessed.

Ronaldo has made a claim to take it.

That's not a penalty but it's surely a red card? I forget how the rules work.

Happy for the goal. But can`t help feeling for Forest`s kids because of the way it happened.

Harsh on Forrest. Ref is a massive turd.

I feel for the Forest players. That's not a penalty. But it could have been a red...

Never looked a pen. The far ref didn't fancy extra time.

Really harsh on Forest but I'll take it!

That penalty decision was a joke. Feel a bit for Forest but feck it I need United to win this.

You have to feel for the defender. 15 years old. Never a penalty.

What a player Garnacho is! 3-1 Utd.

Excellent achievement, deserving winners. Credit to Forrest, they were by far the best team we played during the tournament.

Great result. Struggled for long periods against a stronger opponent with a pretty decent pressing game, but got over the line.

Nice win in the end. Good match from Forest though, Warren Joyce does give his teams that edge.

Commentator on the FA stream was a fecking disgrace. Made out as if it was the Alamo and Forest battered us - the penalty obviously was lucky but if it’s not a pen it’s a red card. So he can feck off. All he banged on about for 20 minutes was how brilliant forest were - which don’t get me wrong they played well - and how shit we are. Bitter twat.

Forrest surely have a few there who’ll play for them too.

Liked their left back, built like a CH but strong, pacy, calm. Also liked their no 10... ran nonstop, harried the defence all night.

So anyway what a great night. Thought Forest were good and worked so hard (liked their CB number 5 and number 9) They are a very big and physical side. Towards the end of the game they had a few break down with injuries as the work they put in took it’s toll.

Great atmosphere, disappointing to see 3/4 of the Forest fans vanish at full time without staying for their lads to get medals.

Tbf 6k is an amazing turnout on a Tuesday night and they've a trip home to make.

Seriously how hard is it to spell 'forest', can't tell if its a joke that goes over my head but it seems like every group of fans has people who call us 'forrest'

Actually, pretty fair comments. Although those saying it should've been a red and free kick are right, at that stage in the game I'd take that over a penalty that wasn't in the box. Thanks Calvin for this bonus comments thread!

It has come to something when you get fair comments and humility out of Man Utd fans and Billy big bollocks from shit like Huddersfield and Bournemouth fans.

I watched the game on a stream from MUTV who were pretty fair as well and incredibly complimentary to us as a club and our young lads.

Really? I looked the commentator up to see if he was linked to United!

That bloke can’t seriously believe our lads were older? Can he? Most our lads were 16/17 where nearly the whole United team were covered in shit tats.

They can’t say shit to us because Vitek looked like he was a regular starter for RB Salzburg.

I think our team was marginally older on average but only by a couple of months.

I think it was 17.8 months average from us and 17.6 for them.

They had a few lads who have been bought in though from the little I know. I think the majority of ours were local or at least UK lads.

Thats what Transfermarkt said too but when I mentioned that in another thread (it didn't seem right to me either...) I did say not sure who they'd be counting.

Certainly they had I think 2 18 yr olds up front and their keeper is almost 19. But I think most of our lads are 17. Zach Abbott being only 15 (though I think he's nearly 16) would push the average down a bit maybe too.

Guess the only way to be sure is for someone to get the DOBs of the players starting, subs and full squads (XI and subs whether used or not) and average it.

We do have quite a few 18 yr olds in the squad by the looks of it who didn't play for example James Clarridge who is 18 nearly 19 and would put an average age up a fair deal if he was included.

Bloody loved reading that, happy that other clubs have a positive view on our youngsters and the great support the travelling fans gave.

'Previous final was between Liverpool and Man City, and the crowd was below 4k. Forest have brought 6k alone.' - real fans for you.

So our starting XI was

We brought on:

And unused subs:

So we had two old 18 yr olds on the bench, and one in the team (the '03s who will be 19 this year).

Also a few of our '04s who played are 18 before the summer and so won't be under 18s next season - these lads are closer to turning 18 than their 17th.

Abbott is 16 tomorrow, so about as old a 15 as you can get. Johnson is also nearly 18.

That average age doesn't look too far off right.

Craig Forrest has a lot to answer for.

As, it seems, does Paul Scarrott, judging by some of the comments from the Man U fans?

Or the Education system, mind you most of their supporters have English as a second language.

Cheers Calvin

I can never understand how you’d think Nottingham Forest could be two r’s. If you can’t spell Forest then you are failing KS1 English!!

Craig Forrest has a lot to answer for.

What is Craig doing these days? I remember passing him at a national team game here at Commonwealth stadium, with a Forest kit on and going "Hey Craig!" pointing at my badge and then at him and he laughed. He was a great keeper for our national team when we had a bunch of League One level guys in front of him.

Can't answer the question but I found it hilarious for ages that he let in nine vs Man U in what, 95? Was a while until other teams scored that many in a match.

So all of the PL 9-0 scores have involved either Man U or Southampton...

Thanks Calvin. Excellent comments by the Man U fans, credit to our lads for giving a display good enough to get such remarks.
