Drove down the M61 yesterday and noticed that the Reebok Stadium is now the Macron Stadium. That will take some getting used to after something like 20 years.
I originally thought that but in this case its not quite that, there has been a Reebok factory in Bolton for decades and the brand is associated with the town beyond BWFC.Brand name replaces brand name. Meh

Reebok originated in Bolton. Imagine Boots or similar with a Nottingham team?
With our injury list last season, we could realistically have been linked with a pharmacists.
When I went to Burnden Park it had a Normid supermarket at one end. From what I heard it hasn't gone down too well. Reebok has been associated with the town of Bolton for over 100 years apparently.
Not a bad stadium at all but I did like Burnden Park, it was a proper old school ground.
Reebok is Bolton. Macron is Italian. How did they lose the Reebok deal anyway?

Forest Banter?
I went for a third division play off semi-final between Bolton and Notts County. I went in my Forest tracksuit and we sat in the top corner of that stand opposite the camera.Yes, that's what crossed my mind when I read the comment about it being a proper old school ground. I think it was a Spar supermarket once when I went, probably the 5-2 League cup win in '91.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooo wash your mouth out, young manThought it was only around the 10 years or so, but a quick google told me it was 1997 when named reebok, so 17 years.
Seems like they are going to change it every time they get a new kit deal, imagine if Forest did the same... Maybe Fawaz is thinking about renaming the City Ground!
