I know this is a serious topic for a Friday, but I need some advice about Sunday's game.
If Liverpool lose or draw, their league challenge is pretty much over, and they will lose further ground on the Champions league qualification, the money from which is an essential part of the underpinning of their current debt, and plans to revelop the club. Benitez may well be sacked and replaced, which would cost the club millions in compensation bills.
If Liverpool win, Benitez will stay, and continue his wrecking of their title challenge and Champions League campaign from within. Manchester United's bid to win a fourth consecutive title would be hindered, the added pressure from which may. later in the season, hamper Fergie's chances of winning a 3rd European Cup.
So, aside from a nuclear bomb exploding over the top of Anfield on Sunday lunchtime, what is the ideal result?
