Sounds like a Hughton suggestion.

I’ve never really rated him more than a steady eddy but he’s popular among Wednesday fans. From Worksop so might have family who are reds?

I can see the logic in bringing someone in who’s a utility player able to cover basically anywhere in midfield or across the back 4.

Personally I'd say he's no better than Jenkinson and pretty disappointed with the link if it's true but the last time I thought we were signing a donkey from Wednesday he ended up being one of the best players we've had in the last decade so what do I know.
