League Cup 3rd round draw

If Tottenham progess into the Europa League group stage (which they probably will) there 1st group match will be on 18th September, which could of course mean a long trip abroad, they will then have to play WBA on the Sunday at home, us on the Wednesday and then on the Saturday after they play Arsenal away.....which all points to them putting out a weak side out against us! all points to us going through to the 4th Round :)

Can't wait, quality away day!

Should be on the tele too I'd imagine.

When do we find out the TV picks? We must have a great chance of being selected - after all, not only is it a tasty tie but there are only sixteen matches altogether in the next round to choose from. Is there a more interesting game taking place anywhere else that might offer up a TV-friendly potential upset? Man City v Sheffield Wednesday maybe. Surely not Liverpool v Middlesbrough or Chelsea v Bolton? Ours is definitely the juiciest tie of the third round.

Reading some nice comments about us on their forum. It really has been too long since we were playing the likes of Spurs at the top level.

Two London games in a row.

Millwall away on Sat 20 Sept. Tottenham away on Tue 23 Sept.

I'll be looking to get my arse to both.

Then there's Watford away in October. Looking forward to these next 2 months.

What's it like doing a London game on a Tuesday/Wednesday night in respect of getting to and from the game if you are from Nottingham? Is it a drive to tube, get the tube in or train/bus? Last time I went spurs we parked not far from the ground shows how long ago it was.

I usually drive and find parking near the ground. In London you can normally park on a street after 6.30pm (even in a residential permit area). Just try and get there around 6.30 if you can so you give yourself a better chance of missing the main traffic and getting a parking spot.

I've driven to quite a few smaller grounds like Brentford, Watford and Wycombe and parked without much of a problem but the bigger grounds tend to be a bit more tricky.

However if I were coming from Nottingham I'd probably drive near to a convenient tube and then tube it to the ground. Like I say, if you get to London for 6.30 you shouldn't have major problems finding parking (as long as it's not Central/City of London)

Good away tie but all about getting through to the next round for me. SP will think the same. I expect a very good 1st team side to play and possibly beat a weakened Spuds. How good would that be? A proper cup run.

Brilliant tie.

I remember we played Spuds in the FA Cup in 2005, Andy Gray said Forest would never get back to being contenders
in the top flight of English football.

We're edging ever closer Andy, how's your career doing lately? :D

Heads up for those of you coming from Nottingham / The north.

Some of you may like to park in the Enfield Town area, which is just off junction 25 of the M25. It is 10 minutes by train from Enfield Town station to White Hart Lane Station, then a 4 minute walk to the ground. Trains run every 15 minutes.

Also if time on your side, then pop into The George Pub (5 The Town, Enfield). It's quite nice and cheap, for instance can't beat their £5 Steak, chips & a pint offer in many pubs, let alone in London! http://www.thegeorgepubenfield.co.uk/offer/steakandchips/

Good shout. When we played West Ham in the cup we took 3 coaches to the Weatherspoons in Enfield, then another 2 came to join us. The barstaff looked after us brilliantly.

Any plans to go there again? Was on way to Central London, when found out "you lot" had stopped off in my neck of the woods.

The Wetherspoons is about a 10 minute walk from Enfield Town station, and can park for free around there... Enfield Town car parks aren't cheap unless risk parking in Tesco's car park!

adam09 - Enfield Town (well not nearest, but it's open until 6pm!) I'm at White Hart Lane tonight watching Spurs v AEL Limassol, so can have a luke to see if any by the ground, that would be open!

Has he singed yet?
Used to live 10 minutes walk from White Hart Lane station, hated it when Spurs were playing as it would f*** up my commute from home (well, make it busier). There's a chippy immediately to your left as you exit the station coming from Liverpool Street. I only know this as the used to employ staff to stand by the stairs and direct people to the chippy. As if the smell and a hungry horde of football fans isn't gonna work...

Don't recall there being a Greggs around there either. Tottenham high street, Bruce Grove and Seven Sisters is a f***ing shit hole by the way. As mentioned above, go to Enfield and get the train in to White Hart Lane station. Easy!

What sort of price do you think the tickets will be? Spuds home games prices for away fans is around the £35-£55 mark, will it be cheaper being a cup game? I don't care what it costs I'm going but after this weekends game and so many not going because its £30! what if its £40, are we going to hear the same moaning?
