A very sad day.
I hope that when you get upstairs big man, you'll find that you have earned the ultimate O.K. sign recognition and a big thumbs up from Mr Clough for all that you achieved..

R.I.P. Larry. Thank you for giving me and thousands of other Forest fans such good memories.

And to think, Mr. Clough convinced him to sign for Forest by bunging Larry‘s wife one of the club washing machines as a bonus!

What a time to be alive that was.

When I used to be a bar man at The Salutation Inn Larry was working at Century 106 I think.
He would come in for a pint or two just after one or just after five most days during the week.

Don't think he ever had to pay for a drink.

Respect!

There was the infamous "blazer incident" (1979/80ish?) when Larry turned up at a team event not wearing his club blazer. Cloughie wasn't happy, a row followed and Larry was fined by BC. Inevitably, this all made the news.

The next game was v Everton at the CG and the Everton fans, trying to wind up Larry sang, "Where's your blazer, Larry Lloyd?" To which the Trent End replied, "Where's your trophies Everton?"

RIP Larry, and thanks for the memories.
