I'm a Carlisle season ticket holder so I've seen a lot of Dempsey in the last year or so. Very good footballer, good range of passing, quick feet, scores goals.

Very mature for his age and has captained Carlisle a few times.

He's certainly got the potential to be a good Championship player.

I think it's permitted for us to pay a fee if the player is going into the youth team. Unsure that could be applied to a 19 year old who has already has some league football under his belt- depends how you spin it?

11 goals, 10 assists & captained the first team in his first year as a professional sounds impressive.

Pity we didn't target players like these before we went into embargo.
