Everyone was bitching about loans now everybody loves them again!!! :) They are a good way to keep costs down and give hungry players an outlet to play. I haven't seen this guy play to be fair but we do really need a keeper.

Problem is, it's pot luck if you get a hungry player, one who believes he's too good for the loan spell and is just trying to avoid getting injured while he waits for his chance with the parent club, or one who is utterly demoralised that the parent club have deemed him not good enough.

Yes I agree but it's the same with transfers to be honest. Once you have a contract you are sorted as a footballer.

Can't say I know much about this guy, though I think we ought to get rid of a few keepers first. We currently have Smith, Henderson, Stojkovic, Bossin, Evtimov and Erlandsson as it is.

I also think Smith deserves a chance to establish himself as first choice.

Loans are fine as long as the loan system is used wisely, which hasn't been the case in recent years at Forest. Dowell will be a good signing though.
