Looks like we won't be buying a new keeper in the transfer window (sob). So unfortunately we are stuck with two goalkeeping liabilities.

We've had time now to take a good look at both of our calamity goalies.

So who gets the Number One shirt?

Turner the turnip has made some good saves, showed great character in the home game against Man Utd, but as usual made an error and not for the first time.

Or... Vlach the Vampire, who's yet to make a decent save and appears to be rooted permanently to his line. Although he hasn't made any saves as such, he seems better at playing the ball out with his feet.

Personally... I think Turner is the lesser of the two evils and shades it... only just.

OR... should Hennessy or even Shelvey get a chance?

One cannot kick and we insist on playing the ball to his feet under a heavy press, the other cannot seem to make a save.

Nuno for some reason thinks they are good enough, I think he's barking mad to be honest.

I'm comfortable with Turner, don't think he's as bad as being made out, and he's miles better than Vlach.

Nuno knows we need to recruit a goalie.
However, so does every Board and the price, even for a loan, is being marked up to reflect supply and demand.
Our Board ha ve also the FFP position to keep in mind.
Nuno was a goalie himself.
It does not compute that he doesn’t know this is a season defining problem

Turner. Shelvey and Hennessy as back ups. Vlachidimos needs to leave the club while he might retain some value. He's somehow still an international goalkeeper!

Turner. Flawed, shit with his feet and is capable of clangers of the highest order. I don't think Vlach is a goalkeeper. Greece and Benfica must have a bloody good defence for him to have hidden this. He's okay with his feet and that's about it. I've tried not to stick the knife in, but Jesus F*cking Christ he is wank. He just ball watches, has no postional sense or any anticipation. Can't seem to save a shot or command his area at all. So Turner by default. Get Vlach out the club before everyone else realises how bad he is and his value plummets, and put Horvath back into the squad.

The other lad, not so much. I never get moany about a player. But he's easily the worst keeper we've had in my lifetime. I can't rationalise for him. And I won't.
