Personally, I'd be extremely happy to see another Academy product playing for Forest.

As mentioned above, he's clearly been recalled as cover; were we to sign another goalie, I'm sure we will then loan him back to Walsall.

If this is true i for one approve .... give the lad a run games .. hes ambitious and keen .. also had a good banter with the fans against fleetwood !

I'm happy Darlow is #1, but clearly it isn't what McLeish wanted.

Can see him being forced into playing the Kuwaiti at some point.

Might only be a few things so far, but it does feel a little like my fears are coming true.

I do have faith pal. I wanted him to be given the season from the minute Camp was off, chuffed with the news he will be. Maybe not the circumstances as to why though.

McLeish made it clear it wasn't what we wanted to happen.

I rate Darlow and think he can do well here.

However, it was only a few days ago McLeish made it clear he was looking for a Green/Robinson type.

Indeed, didn't he say that the deal was all bit done and would be in sooner rather than later?

As with alot of keeper he will either sink or swim ...personally from what ive seen hes bloody Michael Phelps ! .... roll on saturday

True, maybe they aren't as obtainable as they were perceived to be. I know soon after the Robert Green rumours surfaced they were dismissed because of his wages. This is the trouble when your rumours are public.

Am I right in feeling that McCleish is a new whipping boy for the Kuwaiti's and that rumours of them picking the team etc might actually be true? Delighted for Darlow personally, but surely experience in order to get promoted is much more needed.

Maybe since being recalled and seeing more of him it's been decided he's good enough.

It's up to the supporters to get behind Karl and support him.

Cheer him on, encourage him and don't get on his back.

More than any other position, Goalkeeper is a "confidence" position. He's a Forest Academy graduate who is playing in the first team, we ought to be cheering him from the rafters.
