I've seen this lad play, he's very, very good.

Feyenoord are basically skint at the moment, and are not refusing any sensible offer for their players.

That said, he's going to have clubs queueing up for him, if we could get him he would be a fantastic signing for us.

He's a midfielder, and not really a defensive player, if Schteve is looking to play a continental 4-3-3 then he would fit in perfectly as one of the three midfielders; he can pick a pass, and has a good engine.

'An intermediary on behalf of Nottingham Forest has been reported to Feyenoord for Karim El Ahmadi, but the club also interested Championship club have not seriously.'

wtf does that mean

I presume it means someone has contacted them on behalf of Forest but have not made a formal bid.

Google translation always makes things sound strange because it's completely literal.

He looks like a better version of Darren Pratley

wtf does that mean

Apparantly, an 'intermediary', probably an agent has enquired on our behalf but Forest haven't made an official approach yet.

That's right, because White players are all exactly the same too. So are black players...

What an idiotic thing to say. Simply DON'T want people like you representing our club with such a narrow mind.

I remember reading an article on PvH some years ago (424 Maybe?) where they were saying that there is a culture of Dutch players generally having a "barrack room lawyer" attitude, and that they are very difficult to manage and are prone to shitstir in the dressingroom. Sweeping generalisation yes...but national cultures do exist. I agree with you I don't think racial ones do.

There was certainly an element of this previously the Dutch national team, that was - well reported - to be divided on racial lines; at the time of Edgar Davids, he ran one "clique" within the squad.

Recently (at least at national level) this has diminished somewhat.

But the typical Dutchman is still pragmatic and hard-headed, thats a definite national characteristic (and I've spent a lot of time in the Netherlands and love the place!)

In my post I didn't abuse any race. I just said that players from Arab countries sometimes are very problem and difficult to manage.

Karim was born in Enschede, which is in the Netherlands. And of course, home to the famous FC Twente, of whom you may have heard...

Just a little example. Nuri Sahin and Mesut Ozil. Both of Turkish descent. Both were born in Germany and spent their childhood and youth there. But one of them is playing for Turkey and another for Germany. And that one who plays for Turkey have never been to it until recently. But he still says he is Turkish. There is a lot of similar cases in modern football.
And one more. Believe or not but I have known about Twente FC long before McClaren came to Forest.
