Gillingham midfield player - mentioned in MW's presser today?
Anyone know anything about him ( other than he's the brother of the bloke in TOWIE )?

Apparently a defensive type who scores a lot of penalties this season so maybe long term replacement for david vaughan ?

His evident knack for scoring from penalties is an expertise we certainly require.

We've missed, what, six penalties this season?

That's criminal, and you're right, we need someone who can reliably score from the spot.

He scored a hat-trick of pens a couple of weeks ago - the first time that's happened in the Football League since 1950 and it was to beat Scunthorpe who were 2-0 up until the 77th minute. So I'd say he's ballsy if nothing else!

He also scored goal of the season for Millwall in 2011/12.

This is the sort we should be targeting, not the bloody has-been meal ticket good for nothing wage stealers.

Exactly. Even if he (or these style of players) turn out to be absolute rubbish you can move them on.

You aren't stuck with them like the Premier League cast-offs earning £20k a week.

Played in the championship with Scunthorpe. Could not remember for the life of me Scunthorpe being in the Championship.

Simon Gillett mark 2. 27 years old, spent majority of career in league one, could be very effective at what he does for the team.

Water carrier. Need one with Vaughan an Cohen dubious..

The way how Gillett was treated here was criminal. Free transfer, low wages, excellent on the ball, put a shift in, dropped and never returned.

Some fans hated him, for no reason. He, like most the assembled SOD squad were all we could get and the majority did well. 7th.

I thought he did the holding midfielder role brilliantly for SOD, like a McKenna mark 2, nipping at players heels winning back the ball and tidy in possession, then for some reason SOD moved him into a more advanced position and he was nowhere near as effective.

Thought Davies would have liked him but he obviously didn't.

After battling relegation in League One with Gillingham, Wright is said to be excited at the prospect of battling relegation at a higher level with Forest next season.

Believe it or not - released from Yeovil end of last season. Been without a club all year. We really, really do destroy players careers don't we

Hope people don't suggest getting back him back. There's a reason why even yeovil released him.
