Joseph Adrian Worrall (The Club Captain!)

Love Joe, but Im sure he skips media training sessions. Gives a post match like he's talking to a mate down the pub.

Not a bad thing btw.

Not a bad thing at all. I remember him coming back out after a bad loss in a bad season and digging some players out for not being good enough a few years ago when he was probably only 21/22, it wasn't very professional but it was passionate. I'm surprised he got through that post match interview yesterday, most of us would've been (and were) a blubbering mess.

Couldn't think of a more fitting man to captain us to the Premier League. Absolute f***ing hero.

Yep, glad Mr Forest got to do it, and at Wembley too, and Yates involved with the goal that sent us up too.

Brennan did his bit in the semi's of course!

The local boys have done good. Absolutely chuffed for the three of them, you can tell how much it means to them to have taken their club to the Premier League.

I would happily share a few pints in the company of Joseph Worrall.

A homegrown young man of exceptional character.

I think it's deliberate, at least this season anyway. Forest have excelled by being passionate, never say die - built around a core of local lads who embody that spirit. Try and dampen Worrall/Yates etc and you dampen that spirit that has taken to the premier league.

Besides, would rather listen to what our players really think than cliche after cliche.

I liked the touch that him and Grabbs lifted the cup jointly. No egos on display, just team mates doing the job.

I actually think Worrall has the biggest ego in the squad.

But all that ego is put into something he loves and for the club he loves. That is why he is so loved here, and he can live the Premier League dream with Forest now.

I bet he is so so so glad Thomas Frank was a cock to him on zoom and he didn't go to Brentford now.

England next for Wozza, he's still only 25.

Nice to see Lyle Taylor being up there lifting the trophy too. Good to see coops let that happen. He had a part to play, who knows what would have happened if he didn't do what he did V Bristol. That was a turning point.

My mate texted me just after and said it was a breath of fresh air to hear someone talking like that instead of the usual bollacks.

Joe and the other academy graduates are all down to earth good lads, they’re a credit to themselves, their families, Gary Brazil and the club as a whole.

I didn’t think he could get more impressive but he did in my eyes yesterday. Not sure if people noticed but as the team understandably went mental at the final whistle Joe somehow restrained those emotions and sought out the Huddersfield players to commiserate before joining in the celebrations. It's human touches like that, thinking about others before himself, which set him apart as a true leader.

Is this the one?

"I was a bit embarrassed picking up the man of the match as I don't think I deserved it, or any of us deserved it to be honest.
The fans are right, I had a little look at Twitter and seen some of the reaction and they are spot on, The players should go out there and relish the chance to play for the club.
Wolves have come here and outplayed us, out-headed us, out-tackled us. It pains me to say that. I don't want to be coming out and saying it, but it's true.
I think something needs to be done quickly otherwise we will be right down there. The belief is there and we have the confidence. We have had a lot of injuries but that's no excuse"

I recently watched his Chippers interview where he refers to this - I agree, its his honesty but also restraint in calling individuals out that makes this an incredible interview. Clearly a fan playing for a club he really cares about. Long may it continue Joe, clearly there is huge togetherness right now I was so happy for you during your post match interview and you could see how much it means (and for everyone else)

Really good players always have big egos. Look at psycho-no one could argue he was technically brilliant, but as well as being teak hard he believed in himself and made it happen.

Big question for me is will Joe sign a new contract?. If he loves the club and wants to take us forward, get a signature on an extension and put an end to any speculation.

Hey Joe,

Remember your interview pre-Middlesborough home game wayyyy back in September?

"We're not going to do a Barnsley."

You were right, we weren't going to lose in the play-offs. ;)

I agree. One of the "spinoffs" from promotion is that situations like Lyles will be much easier to deal with. No one can possibly believe he is prem level so it will be about all parties finding him a club and hopefully we can separate on amicable terms.

I'm confident he will. He's going to want to play for Forest for at least one season in the Premier League. Beyond that, he might ask for a transfer, especially if we get relegated.

Probably one of my favourite players ever. Saying "shite" live on sky sports somehow still my favourite thing he's done.
