No wonder my post count..
Apparently we're after him according to the sun on BBC gossip. 8m if we somehow get promotion.

I have a screen grab attached because tapatalk won't post it inline for some reason.

... Ok so I don't know if it attached or not. Grr.

It's one of Nixon's stories. I asked him about it on Twitter and he seems to think we have come up with a 'brilliant plan' to make this happen, including finding a way around the embargo restrictions.

Can't see it happening. Surely the player would prefer to join a club with a better chance of promotion?

Oh what's the point in anything any more?

Hilarious.

He wont be going anywhere right now, especially with an FA Cup quarter final replay at home v Liverpool coming up, and not until 7/8th April.

It's like being at school again. The two captains do 'bun-rab' and then pick teams one by one from the pool of players stood around at the start of lunch break. If one of the real good players is on last dinner sitting, we might get a steal after the game's kicked off.

It's all about mid-table...

Fixed ;)

Alan Nixon seems to think we have a genuine chance. There's a way round FFP but he's not going to say unless we get him. This is one of the most ridiculous things ever

Apparently one way round might be a player swap, where we still pay the more expensive player's wages.

Those of you who have twitter I suggest you follow Alan Nixon. He's got all the info on this story, and he's pretty good for championship footy as a whole

Jordan Rhodes would probably be employed as Fawaz personal Butler on£40k a week, but allowed time-off to play football for free.

This whole Rhodes thing has (again) made me consider leaving the Forest FB pages for good. This place seems much more civilized. :)

Hahaha..hahahaha! Oh, this is serious? Oh, okay, well then no, this definitely isn't happening.

I suppose if we loaned them Pato & another plus pay 10k pw then we could cover his wages.

Blackburn are trying to sign players but are struggling themselves financially to get a deal done for Paul Taylor.

Would be madness. But also hilarious as Derby thought he was theirs.

Freedman loves him apparently. Thing is, we won't get promoted so this won't go anywhere past the summer. It's pointless. Though if it pisses the Sheep off I'll chip in for his wages.

I think Rhodes will only happen if we don't get Borini and Lambert in, and Blackburn pay 200% of his wages and concede the game on the 18th April against us.

Does FFP stand for Fire & Frying Pans ?

Again, I just don't get the reason for a move. If we had of been stuck in mid table with no chance or going up or down, would we have loaned out Assombalonga? or Antonio? I doubt it.
