He's coming back from a bad knee injury so we might just be loaning him to check how he's doing after the injury, if he trains well for a couple of weeks and we decide we want to use him in games we could make it permanent at any time.

I don't think that will be the case, if it is however, would only assume it would be to get the deal over the line today, then sort a fee later in week etc..

He also hasn't played 22 times, he hasn't played at all in the league and 3 times in the cup, been out with a serious knee injury.

He did play 22 times in Ligue 1 last season though.

Almost certainly means the end of Ely here if it happens, maybe also one of Worrall or Mbe Soh eventually too.

Sounds like an update on Mbe Sow or, perhaps, just fitter.

Ever since we went to the back 3, with Worrall's passing from the right being used as a base for building attacks I've thought it'd be brilliant of we had another one on the left so we can switch quicker and make us less predictable. McKenna's a great defender but not all that good on the ball so I'd much sooner he was the in the middle.

Think he'll go straight into CB as part of a back three. Probably in the middle, McKenna on the left and Cook on the right, at least until Worrall is fit.

Failing that he'd be a backup to Lowe, but really don't think he's a LWB in the same sense Colback isn't. Both can fill in for a few games but you wouldn't want to rely on it.
