Jim Prices view on our players

Not that I believe it, but if this is true, the juxtaposition between Price lambasting the previous regime's wasting of wages on Miller with his own wasting of wages on Chalobah is hilarious.

Its a little different though isnt it? Miller is a mistake we will have been saddled with for 3 years, costing millions of pounds in transfer fees and wages.

Chalobah is a short term mistake, that can be rectified in a couple of weeks anyway. Plus, in that short time he has scored almost as many goals in 2 and a half months as Miller has scored for us in nearly 3 years.

I know, but it's still amusing that the great Jim Price acknowledged that he made a poor decision in the transfer market just after he criticised the club about Miller.

Cheers mate!

After reading through I would be very surprised if someone in such a senior position would tell a random all that information, doesn't seem like the smartest way of running a football club!

Is it not good that he is acknowledging it? If can appreciate where he has made a mistake, then hopefully it should help him and us in future.

He was certainly right to criticise the old regime for the Miller signing, it was frickin appalling.

Nothing surprised me there, in fact most of it was what most of us have been saying anyway.

Well, it's not exactly an acknowledgement that he himself messed up, rather that Chalobah is a poor player for us. But this is difficult to talk about effectively as we only have this guy's account, not what Price actually said. But yes, he is totally right about Miller and I'm glad he managed to loan him out. Hopefully Yeovil take him on a free in January, even if we pay the excess on his wages afterwards.

I still don't believe it, but if it's true it's pretty terrible professionally with him criticising half of our squad.

Also, how naive would Fawaz have to be to think that Billy Davies can win a European Cup? It just doesn't make sense to publicly share these things as they sound ridiculous.

I read those comments allegedly from Jimbo and my first thought was "tell us something we don't know, Jim".

I agree with you on it not being professional, Price does need to reign it in.

I am still stunned Fawaz seems to have given him so much power.

Price and Billy have power.

But I think you'd be surprised how much influence Hassan has on the day to day running of the club. He'll definitely be reporting back to Fawaz. He's the guy Fawaz trusts the most.

Sorry - I just cannot accept the article unless there is valid corroboration.
Who is the person writing the article?
Would anyone involved in a club at such a senior level talk so openly?
In terms of investing belief... I'm out!

Alot of that information has been kicking around for a while on various internet forums.

Some of it has been called bollocks, some of it has been posted by people accused of being attention seekers.

Either that backs up a lot of stories already doing the rounds or it is simply someone researching all the gossip and summarising it in one story.

You make your own mind up which it is.

Hi Erik, it just seems so totally and utterly unlikely.
To move the Club forward the top people need to confine their thoughts like those in the article to the Boardroom.
I know football is populated with business people whose common sense quotient is inversely proportional to their wealth, but if this is genuine then I reckon Fawaz would pretty soon show him the rough end of a pineapple.
Fawaz is the man whose money is at risk; he seems to be a guy who has the balls to act swiftly and decisively.
I just don't think the whole scenario is credible.

If Jim Price has expressed those sort of opinions about people who are, essentially, his employees, to a 3rd party, knowing that they'll end up in the public domain then, frankly, on careful consideration he needs to be summarily dismissed from the club and run out of the County boundary, but only after we've fished him out of the River Trent.

Isn't the Trent the City Boundary?
So why waste energy fishing him out?
