I'm surprised that nobody has suggested we make his move permanent, I think that he's been excellent when he's played. He breaks up the play brilliantly and plays the simple ball out wide and i don't think that it's a conincidence that we've looked a better side with him on the pitch. Wouldn't cost that much either and from talkng to a few of my mates who are Villa ST holders he isn't going to be breaking into their side any time soon.

He fits in with BDs policy of having 2 players for every position aswell with both him and Moose, aswell as obviously Perch too (although I suspect we won't see much of him in midfield next season).

Apparently Villa have already ruled out a permanent move.

No reason why we couldn't try for another loan though.

I seem to remember after we beat Cov the other week that his brother was saying something along the lines of him needing to move to further his career. I'd certainly ask about a season long loan though. :)

Billy has said he doesn't want loan players in the team, or as little as possible. I would say the only one with a chance of that would be Gunter.

I'd be disappointed if we didn't try.

Osbourne is something we've been lacking for many years, probably since Scimeca left (although they're by no means the same player).

He's tough-tackling, a workhorse, an astute passer and a clever footballer. There's goals in him too.

Most Villa fans think he's gone off the boil massively after a promising start. I'm cautiously optimistic about another loan, but if we can't get him in we'll need somebody else in his position - that is, somebody other than the incumbent options.

Forest have already tried and been turned down by Villa, O'Neil rates him and let him come to Forest for the twin reasons of helping Forest and Osbourn's experience, a win win situation.

I wasn't aware that we'd already made an approach for him. Would be a shame to lose him though, he's really impressed me. :)

I only have a limited idea of the transfer targets but Forest are already busy seeking players, Osbourn is the only one I know at the moment who has been turned down.

MON only let Osbourne go out on loan to us because aston villa got knocked out of the UEFA cup. If they were still in it , i'm not sure MON would have agreed to let Ozzy go.

Perhaps the fact he won't be staying is a factor. Moussi could do as good a job IMO no point in signing him really unless on the cheap.
