28 year old right winger from Cadiz.

Says Nuno is interested.

Stats not great 2 assists and 0 goals this season and only 8 goals in his entire career.

Supposedly fast though.

Is he a Jorge Mendes client?..... I really hope he isnt, cause I cant be arsed with that crap again.

Posted about him in the main transfer thread a week or so back, we’ve been linked before, low cost. As you say, stats don’t do a great job of selling his ability.

Other clubs seem to find cheap young wingers (Koleosho, Gnonto) pretty easily. Seems a good position to take a punt on a youngster.

Is this gonna be the buzzword on every player? I think the Mendes stuff is a load of nonsense, EM uses dozens of agents, there is no indication at all we are going all in on Mendes at all and it's in nobodies benefit to sign a load of crap including Mendes
It's such a non-story

Zero chance an astute businessman like Marinakis would put all his eggs in one basket like that

Isn't the suggestion more that we'll be able to benefit from the Nuno connection? Rather than *only* being able to shop with Mendes?

The reason is two-fold, Firstly, EM seems to be back in with Mendes post the Rio Ave sale. Secondly, and maybe contingently, Nuno is a Mendes client and during his early years at Wolves, Gestifute were the most active agent of icoming players.

They are the indicators that can lead to that conlusion.

It may be smoke without fire.

The Mendes link is fairly logical, in particular this soon after the Nuno appointment. If ever there was a time where a couple of Mendes ‘clients’ walked through the door, it’s now.

But it's completely based on oh look we hired his mate.

I am not saying there is no link, but there is a link with a billion other agents too. It is only massively overblown because it's Mendes and people know who he is. Nobody cares that we signed several players from an English agency. The chances are anyone from Portugal is going to have a link to Mendes somewhere.

Best mate. And there is extensive reporting on how the relationship between EM and Mendes is now back in full swing. So it’s very logical at this moment in time.

By extensive reporting I assume you mean that Athletic article which says absolutely nothing apart from it being a biographical piece about Mendes.

I just think it's a load of overblown crap, that's all. We didn't hire Nuno because Mendes we hired him because he has a great track record. If we are able to sign good players because he's best mates then we will, if we can't then we will look elsewhere.

You may be be right.

But GBG was the first raise the reconnected partnership between Marinakis and Mendes when Oly appointed Pedro Alves as Sporting Director.

There are are lots of active links.

I have no idea whether it means one thing or another, but i think to rule it out because it's just one article in The Athletic is equally as daft as claiming he's now the prime dealmaker at Forest because of signing Nuno.

Its fair position to say, all the ongoing linkages say its worth paying attention to. Nothing more, nothing less.

I actually think we were likely to hire Glasner, then Nuno got sacked early November and Mendes basically stepped in with Nuno for us. Without the Mendes/Nuno, Mendes/EM connection much less chance it happens.

I’m surprised everyone doesn’t see the importance of those relationships.

My point is we have the exact same relationship with dozens of other agents. But nobody cares about them.

I think we spoke with Glasner but weren't convinced. With Nuno I suspect he may have been second choice to Lopetegui, who ironically I think he's a better manager than - Mendes is the agent of both.
