Nottingham's dirty secret
He looks a real danger tbf.

I just don't see Dennis wanting to go back to Watford.

But if a deal is on, and Cooper wants him....gerrim in.

That's a good point that a lot of people seem to overlook in discussions about swap deals; the player you want to swap has to want to go to the club you are doing business with, and you can't force him to go there if he doesn't want to.

I’d love for it to come off, but have no idea why Watford would agree to this.

By all accounts Sarr is inconsistent there. Maybe they feel they'd be more productive in the final third with Dennis.

I’m sure I read somewhere that the Watford players had a party when Dennis left?

I’d like to know the percentage of times the media says a swap or p/x deal is on, compared to reality.

p/x or swaps rarely happen.

Only chance is if every party wants it.

Both of their main strikers are injured (Keinan has a hamstring injury-not a surprise) so they maybe feel they need Dennis to fill the gap. To get a quality replacement is expensive so maybe that is the attraction - if there is any truth in this.
The bit about Keinan Davies might make the "Should have signed KD9" rethink their stance.

Player might want to play in the Prem, promotion is looking unlikely - and Dennis is still a Premier League quality player (IMO).

Personally I think it makes sense for every party involved. Only stumbling block could be Dennis?

Surely it's very rare. Always seems a bit "Football Manager" to me. The swap here is such an easy one to write.

I feel we're getting back deep into the mad world of the transfer window.

I'm taking most of these 'possibilities' with a pinch of salt.

Mind you, it might be because I don't think most of the rumoured transfers will improve our squad or team.

I'm starting to wonder if Sarr is Brazillian enough for us.

I heard it on the radio, but it's apparently a load of goo goo gaga.

I’ll revive this one. He’s out of contract in June 2024 so Watford might be keen to sell whilst he still has value.

He's a yes please from me. Underperformed in the champ but looked decent when last in the prem and at the world cup.

Agree that he is on his day a gem, the only concern I would have is that its the African Nation championships in Jan/Feb next year and we already potentially could be massively hit with absences from that.

Adding him would potentially see us without Niakhate and Kouyate and him.

If Nigeria qualify then also Awoniyi and Dennis.

If Ivory Coast too then Serge and Boly as well!

Ivory Coast are the hosts, so have already qualified

When we were in league one we wouldn’t have to play if we had 3 international players away. Surely there is a point where it is unfair if you are missing 6 or 7 from the African nations.

I think the official line from the Premier League on that one is "Ah.. diddums"

Well afcon aside he's pretty much exactly what we need, in that he can play all across the front line (and behind if need be), works hard, is fast and creative.

Sadly I think he might end up at a more established side than us, or even head out to one of the bigger German clubs in Europe. Perhaps our Senegalese contingent can help us here?
