It's a good point. It's hardly going to make him rush for the pen when he sees his current side have 75% of the ball against us and we struggle to string 3 passes together. Definitely need to improve.

I just hope we don't see Ndidi as our fall back option and go for him. Got Leicester mates / in-laws and let's just say they'd be happy to see him go.

100% this. We tried to play a 2 man midfield at the start of last season like we did in the promotion season, and we just didn't have the personnel for it. I think this gives us the option to play Sanagre with one of Yates/Danilo/Mangala with MGW, Johnson and Taiwo in front when we play with wing backs.

Then when we play 4 at the back, we can have Sanagre with Yates/Mangala, with Danilo, Johnson, MGW and Taiwo in front.

Massive game changer, compared to having to play 3 deeper midfielders.

I’d expect to see as strong a line up as possible not just because it’s PSV but we’re getting close to the start of the season and we should start seeing a bit more of how we’re likely to set up away from home this season.

Is there no one else out there with a similar profile? Adams is injured and Ndidi seems past his best. If this guy isn't interested, there must be other quality CDMs we can look at.

We just seem to have all our CDM eggs in this particular reluctant basket. Whereas we've been linked with practically every LB in Europe.

I'd sell him the idea of joining one of the most talented young squads in the biggest league on the planet, playing in front of the loudest home fans for one of the most talented young managers. We've got three of the biggest young talents in the PL in Johnson, Gibbs-White and Danilo. Four if you include Cooper.

Focus on the present and the exciting opportunity ahead of him, not some dusty trophy cabinet from 40 years ago. It's far more likely to work.

This is true, but then they offered Casemiro a four year deal, with an option for five at 30 years of age when Madrid were clearly looking to freshen things up. Casemiro has also won everything there is to win at this point.

For Sangare, they are in the Qualifying Round for the Champions League this year and they finished 2nd in the Dutch League last year. If he stays there, he plays in European Football again. If he comes to us, he's probably at a club with little chance of winning anything and only a moderate chance of getting into the top half of the league.

So yes, if we're seriously interested, any thing we can do to entice him should be done. If he can see for himself, that there is talent in the team and he'd slot right into how we play well, that's a bonus for us. If we're camped in our own penalty area for half the game, I doubt he'll be inclined to want to sign up.

We never will know unless he joins but darn if I don't agree with you here. MGW, Danilo and Sangare have the potential to be a fantastic central midfield combo that Forest can build around for several years. Mix in another CB and CF and we're vastly improved, IMO.

Of course we will need others but I mean for CDM this man is a machine and would clear up and is so mobile he really does remind me of a yaya toure build of a bulldozer
