Hypothetically, Burnley come back in for Lansbury...

Couldn't buy anyone and could only use 75% of his wages.

He wasn't that bad today and has been ill.

Cash is King!
I just want the old Lansbury back and for him to sort his discipline out.
He cost us today and will also be sat on the bench for the next two games. He needs to get his act together, quick.

I wouldn't. He plays in a system that completely isolates midfielders and results in them only playing long-range passes or shots. He tries things, sometimes they don't work and sometimes they do, but he tries in an side that has had creativity sucked out of it.

Yes please. He's clearly bored of Forest and I'm bored of watching him give 50%. The fastest he ran today was when he was subbed. Made a few good challenges but it's least he should be doing

I still wouldn't. Lansbury still has the potential to be a key player for us just has he has been in previous seasons but we need to play a system that uses him correctly. I'd rather keep Lansbury and change the style of play than the other way around.

Lansbury playing in his best position in a confident side is an asset to this club. The shouting and screaming at Fawaz in the close season to keep him, to then scape goat him and want rid is crazy.

Problem with this club - too many Lansburys, not enough Cohens. Scores a pretty goal every 10 games but doesn't give 100% all game every game.

There aren't many Cohens available, and unfortunately we might never see ours again in the same capacity.

Someone like Whittingham from Cardiff, I'm sure as hell he'd come back, seemed to enjoy it here last time.

Lansbury in hindsight (And I do think on his day he's a top player just doesn't show it enough) should have been flogged tbh, 3m for a player who only shows glimpses of what he's capable of would have been great tbh.

Couldn't agree more. As an inexperienced player he's played his part in 2 promotions from this division that says it all.

This has to be a parody account. Who are you really?

The teams at the top don't seem to have had many problems finding them and building a team over the course of a season or two. Surely there will be free transfers, League 1 players, Prem rejects floating around who play that role.

It's an area we don't seen to have focused on properly because we've had a glut of central players over the last few years but the problem is they seem to good at certain things and be poor at others - McGugan, Majewski, Lansbury even Reidy a while back. It's clear all the teams that go up are built from the back too and have a high energy midfield, it gives you the platform to go forward and be able to recover and not get caught out like we do all the time.

Unfortunately for us the couple of good players we've had in this postion in Vaughan and Cohen are always injured and then there was Simon Gillet, someone who could do a job but was strangely hounded out after literally one mistake.

It's a shame we never signed Leadbitter instead of Wilson.

It's all about mid-table...
Didn't rate him when he first came, changed my mind under Davies (although still overrated imo).

Thought he'd go onto better things but massively disappointing.

The positive footballer I'd persist with, the baggage he brings I'd throw over a cliff in a heartbeat.

As it currently stands he offers next to nothing. I would expect Lansbury to either run the game as a deep lying playmaker or use his box to box ability to provide a threat in front of goal too. Currently he does neither and gets booked too much which means he can't dive into tackles when needed.

Tesche has firmly planted himself as our current number one central midfielder, Vaughan if fit should be in there too. Osborn is capable backup, Reid is returning and we could always recall Majewski for added backup.

For three million I'd drive him to Burnley and try and buy Guedioura back.

Henri's just not at the races. He's been ill buts been poor for a while.

Blimey. While Lansnury has had a poor season, Tesche was terrible today- he tries but he's just not up to the job .

Can't see how anyone can seriously endorse selling or dropping Lansbury when we simply don't have anyone else fit or capable enough to replace him in central midfield.

Tesche was terrible today? Yet, he could have had two goals to his name. He nearly broke the crossbar in half with one volley and narrowly missed with a great leap and header. I think he's been a great signing for us this season and bearing in mind he was a free transfer. From what I've seen of him, he rarely puts a foot wrong. He's not an overpaid showboater like Lansbury who fails to turn up for 75% of the game. He does the simple things and he does them well.

The reason England will NEVER win the World Cup again. We prefer Cohens to Lansburys, Palmers to le Tissiers, Wilkins' to Hoddles. The list goes on and the years of hurt are unending.
