Really? Wow.

Talk about rock bottom. He's not 30 yet is he?

As you say, what a waste of talent.

Talent isn't the only requirement to make a success.
You need the ability to motivate yourself, mental toughness and a strong desire to take that talent and achieve the best you can with it.
My step-son is a prime example of this - he has a remarkably high IQ, talent with IT and virtually no drive or ambition.
I always felt with McGugan that he just didn't want to make the most of his talent.
It is almost a rejection of the values of "normal" people.
As you say, what a waste when looking at it from our perspective; Lewis possibly looks at the whole thing, shrugs his shoulders and thinks to himself "I'm glad I'm not on that treadmill".
And who is right and who is wrong?

I am also an example of this and it's not as simple as some people think. I'm not lazy, at least I try not to be. I've had to learn to battle against my instincts to just coast through life virtually every day just to get to where I am.

Lewis Magoo has been released today by the Cobblers. What a waste.

Strange.

Sure I saw him in their starting line-up the other day just behind the strikers.

Maybe it means Hildeberto will be a straight replacement for him in that AMC role.

Northampton have Brendan Moloney as their first choice right-back too.

Seems like a decent chap but i still don't get the mass love in for him here.. Possibly 20 minute of decent football during his time here and he's now at Northampton!

Good luck to him, excellent acquisition for Northampton and he'll tear that league up if he hits form.

same here, its very hard to describe but everything is a lot of effort

It's Not, its just modern life is so f***ing easy next to no one knows what hard work is. Do 60* hours of manual labour a week and tell me how hard your normal life is.

*so glad I don't do that shit anymore.

I'd have Berto back here to be honest. Gaping hole at RW and sort of player if you stick with him and get the most out of him he could be worth 8 figures.

Worth another shot now that the Greeks are fully back in charge.

He reminds me of that bit in Withnail & I where they get cornered by a bull and the farmer tells them to run at it shouting

I do think I would actually benefit from a spell of manual labour. I'm so fed up with office life and a change could do me good. Maybe not 60 hours though.

I think the biggest trouble is a lack of sense of achievement in most jobs. There's not much better than taking raw materials and using your nogging and hands creating something from it. All these service jobs are mind numbing.

A bit like Jesus, who was a humble carpenter, or several Forest Managers of the last few seasons, many of whom have managed to take a decent pile of raw materials and make an absolute f***ing mess.

I've gone from an office job, to working on 'the front line' in customer service, to working on building sites, to a driving job, and then back to the office in a role where I am on the road a bit too.

Really happy where I am now and really glad I tried different things though to see what I enjoyed and what I didn't.

I'd recommend changing career if you're just going through the motions every day. Could be the challenge you need.

I thought the same, then I thought how the f*** do I get to go on LTLF all day on a building site?

Its all about priorities.

I could do with a new job but mines easy for me and I get to post bollocks on here while getting paid.

That's easier said than done though. I have a job a lot of people seem to want, or think they do. It's bloody hard work all year round but come summer time there's a constant refrain of "I wish I had your job, riding round on a mower all day".

As if that's all there is to it. I can see the day, which isn't too far off now, when I'm not going to be physically capable of doing it any longer. I'm gonna be f'ed in more ways than one then.

Yeah, people forget that manual work will f*** you in the end. Most my family have or are in similar positions, all have had bad backs, knees etc etc.
