It may have been posted elsewhere but I'm sure there it isn't a thread on this, But forgive me if the following is being repeated....
But is there a hidden agenda here? Is there more to meets the eye with Davies' appointment?
I've seen on twitter, read on forums, heard on the radio all different slants on the past month and a half but for me, a lot of it does add up. Either that or VERY coincidental..
Forgetting about any doubts about owner's wealth and football nous for a minute and just think about it....
*Sod sacked and an rapid appointment is needed.
*Fawaz honestly thinks that McLeish would be a welcome decision
*Realises it isn't and receives huge backlash so puts feelers out for WMD
*Billy says he'd love the job but wouldn't want to come back with current set up (MA and Burt)
*MA and Burt are dismissed
*Billy rejects any advances made by Blackburn (if there were any but he was heavily linked)
*Hasselbaink leaves (frees up a coaching role)
*Dex and Radi sign new long term deals (linking this to players finding out out that Billy is returning, could have been told this weeks ago not the other day as reported)
*Boydgate (Billy not a fan)
*No signings on deadline day whatsoever
*McLeish resigns and by the looks of it, no attempt is made by Fawaz to prevent this
*The Wee One returns
Was Fawaz DELIBERATELY not backing McLeish to force him to leave? This whole "Surprise" thing and "Expect the unexpected"
Did they know all along?
I must admit, part of me believes this.
I may have missed a few things but the lack of backing, the dismissals of those figures and Radi and Dex signing are all pointers in favour of this possible notion.
