Hidden Agenda?

Jonno

Geoff Thomas
It may have been posted elsewhere but I'm sure there it isn't a thread on this, But forgive me if the following is being repeated....

But is there a hidden agenda here? Is there more to meets the eye with Davies' appointment?

I've seen on twitter, read on forums, heard on the radio all different slants on the past month and a half but for me, a lot of it does add up. Either that or VERY coincidental..

Forgetting about any doubts about owner's wealth and football nous for a minute and just think about it....

*Sod sacked and an rapid appointment is needed.
*Fawaz honestly thinks that McLeish would be a welcome decision
*Realises it isn't and receives huge backlash so puts feelers out for WMD
*Billy says he'd love the job but wouldn't want to come back with current set up (MA and Burt)
*MA and Burt are dismissed
*Billy rejects any advances made by Blackburn (if there were any but he was heavily linked)
*Hasselbaink leaves (frees up a coaching role)
*Dex and Radi sign new long term deals (linking this to players finding out out that Billy is returning, could have been told this weeks ago not the other day as reported)
*Boydgate (Billy not a fan)
*No signings on deadline day whatsoever
*McLeish resigns and by the looks of it, no attempt is made by Fawaz to prevent this
*The Wee One returns

Was Fawaz DELIBERATELY not backing McLeish to force him to leave? This whole "Surprise" thing and "Expect the unexpected"

Did they know all along?

I must admit, part of me believes this.

I may have missed a few things but the lack of backing, the dismissals of those figures and Radi and Dex signing are all pointers in favour of this possible notion.

Surely Fawaz would reveal that was his grand plan all along. I hope this is the case but I heard something Natalie Jackson said on EMT she said the chairman and Billy Davies were chatting last week that means when McLeish was still in charge???????

It really does fit.

Or do I just want to believe it so that I don't have to believe our owners are not very bright?

Either way, it's a damned relief to have some positivity back around the place.

We shall see, I imagine there will be a lot of backing during the loan window however loans are cheap and low risk... Lets see what happens during the summer.

Plus Frank Clark wasn't there when Billy was there... Doesn't fit that well if I'm honest.

Billy held talks with Blackpool on Monday and agreed to hold further talks on Tuesday. When Tuesday talks come around he informs them of his decision to return to Forest. I think if the talks had been held last week the talks on Monday wouldn't have taken place.

I know people will critically tear apart what I say with out being critical of their own posts to grasp to the hope that this is all been a charade but I'm not convinced.

Could have been a conspiracy, however I think this would be unlikely.

If it is all true, then the final act will be Billy dismantling the Nigel Doughty Academy.....
Can you really see that happening?

Don't forget the rumour is that one of the 3 that got "gardened" was leaking info to certain media hacks about Forest transfer targets............

I think you might see BD say all the problems at NFFC were due to MA - and BD and ND had a good relationship but MA was the problem.......... just my opinion on whats coming up............

Maybe when Fawaz said to Omar ''I want the gobby Scottish one'' Omar had a slight misunderstanding?

Certainly to have tied up WMD within a week of Eck going is fast. The only piece of the puzzle that's misshapen is Billy's talks with Blackpool.

If McLeish was Fawaz's man when SOD was appointed, and Billy was lined up during AM's time, who is Fawaz going to start talking to now?

To protect the master plan.

If you think about it, would any of us expected Billy to go to blackpool and get on with their tight chairman?

If the suggestion is that the last 2 weeks are conspiricy and not cock-up then its equally plausable.

Im not jumping on this idea though as normally its cock-up

Not necessarily agreeing with any conspiracy, but talking to Blackpool is Davies' style even if he knew he was coming back here by that point. Being wanted elsewhere gives him a bit more negotiating power.

I think Billy's played his hand well. He's back where he's wanted. He's got all of his back room staff back at The City Ground. The Chairman has seen from the reaction to Billy's appointment that he had better be very careful going forward. Mark Arthur is no longer at the club. Billy rulesthe roost.
