Has anyone noticed that our Player of the Season award seems to be cursed?

here are the winners over the last 11 years:

2007: Grant Holt (Submitted Transfer request that summer after being refused new contract, eventually sold 1 year later following drop in form)
2008: Julian Bennett (Suffered Career ending Knee injury in December 2008 )
2009: Chris Cohen (Escaped harm, but wait for it)
2010: Lee Camp (the exception, played a further 2.5 seasons before leaving)
2011: Luke Chambers (Left on a free transfer 1 year later)
2012: Garath McCleary (Left on a free transfer not long after winning the award)
2013: Chris Cohen (coming back from a Major Knee Injury, Chris wins the POTY award, then, to make up for escaping harm from the previous award, he has two more successive Knee injuries)
2014: Andy Reid (Andy would play only 6 more games for Forest after winning, and was forced to retire through injury)
2015: Michail Antonio (Was sold the following season)
2016: Dorus de Vries (Was sold the following season)
2017: Eric Lichaj (?)

Is anyone else worried about Eric? :/

Weren't most of those departures because they were crap at the time, the result of poor admin or because the player themselves got big-headed and wanted out for big bucks. Or a combination of those points.

Bennett, Cohen and Reid I would exempt from that and agree they were unlucky or cursed, plus the fact they were all good guys.

Given that they won player of the season I'd imagine some of them left because they were half-decent and clubs higher up the league wanted them?
