Yeah, we're good in midfield especially seeing as the possible departure of Kouyate to Saudi didn't happen.
If we've got money to spend in January or next summer I think we should think about a long term, high quality replacement for Awoniyi, as he'll go to one of the top six pretty soon I reckon.
only 2 years older than awoniyi. It will take a utterly ridiculous offer for forest to sell, awoniyi isn't a mercenary and demand to be sold.Forest have no real need to sell. He's 27 though I think, right type of player but it might be good to try to find someone younger.
I would hope that the club would grow with him, the signs are certainly there that that's the plan. I've got this funny feeling in me bones that in a few seasons we're going to be up there with the big boys. Big M is absolutely not messing aboutI fear Awoniyi will outgrow us this season, which is why I have no issues going for a 27 year old. Wouldn't be against us bringing a younger model in alongside a more established type though.
If Taiwo does what I think he might/hope he will this year he'll be targeted by one of the top six. While it's a lovely thought, I don't think we'll have grown to that level.I would hope that the club would grow with him, the signs are certainly there that that's the plan. edit - Although I do accept that we may have to sell players to finance these plans if big money offers come in but my point was that I don't think we would sell him because he's outgrown us, if we did it would be to pay for the further evolution of the club.
