With McGugan gone and Greening player/coaching it stands to reason that we could use an extra body in midfield.

Do you even know who Grant Leadbitter is? He's a tackling, hustling, get stuck in sort of player that chips in the odd goal, not a playmaker/goalscorer.

Been to see him a load of times at the stadium of light he certainly isnt a DM and he is very good with a shot used to get into a lot of advanced positions he really isnt like a McKenna or a Moussi, Guedioura isnt a DM.

Just where are we going with this though? If Harding or lichaj is going to be left back, then we've already got Majewski, guedioura, Lansbury and Cohen that can compete for the 2 centre midfield slots. That's enough. We don't want to overload the squad again particularly in central midfield. Then there's still moussi and gillett to keep/get rid of. I'd rather see another winger brought in, and centre back before anything else.
He won't wanna come and be back up though. What's the point in this signing? I don't see it.

I think if we sign another centre midfielder, that means that Cohen is probably going to play left back this season :facepalm: Hope this one doesn't happen.
