Graham Dorrans

All a bit too unnecessary for me. We've got our attacking central midfielders. We've got our attacking wingers.

The last time Dorrans played well for a sustained period was 4 years ago. So everyone is getting jolly, judging by what they saw 4 years ago. Since then he's chosen to be a squad player in a stable Premier League side, rather than a 1st team player in a Championship side to work his way back up again.

We all got overly excited at the thought of Nate Chalobah, and rightly so. He was one of the best players last season in this league, and look how much relevance that had.

Dorrans is just another Prem cast off to add to our long list. Look at our squad. We're bloody full of them. Want a bit of variety. Someone working their way up.

The Dorrans interest was the main story on the back of The Wolverhampton Express and Star earlier today.

On that basis alone I'd say it won't happen. To be honest I don't think he should be a priority, if he is a target then it will only be to divert attention from our inability to get a striker

He has played a bit this season. If we are going to play with a 5 man midfield we need more options than we currently have. He is a central midfielder for which we need 3 playing and options off the bench. We have Chalobah and Vaughan who are both on loan; Reid who can play wide as well; Lansbury who has 8 yellows this season already and Majewski who for me is okay but not really top 6 quality. That is actually two out and out CMs fully signed to the club. For me Dorrans is direct competition for the most forward CM position but can play wider too. He brings a potential for goals from open play and from set pieces. Granted he probably isn't 100% match fit but his lack of games might be beneficial as he won't have heavy legs at the latter stages of the season.

I would like us to tie up Hobbs and Vaughan and get some competition for striker positions. Ideally a top drawer striker but I would take what we can afford. Rhodes, Long etc. we have no chance with so would need to be a realistic target. But Dorrans would hopefully give more goals to support Reid and Lansbury.

He's still only 26 - peak years ahead. He's class. Any Championship side would be damn lucky to have him

I think the bears (agents) and all around the honey pot (Fawaz). They are all trying in my view to sell him their old duffers (Le Fondre) and trying to ridicule the attempts to buy the people who wants to buy.

Dorrans would be an excellent signing, can play AM or RM or in fact anywhere in midfield really.

"Chosen to be a squad player" or fought for his place? He has played every season they've been up there.

We never seem to get enough money for our good players. Geddy should have been £4m plus. That is what other top championship performers have sold for.

Youngsters too, clubs like Southampton got massive fee's for Walcott, Bale and Oxade-Chamberlain. Ipswich got £8m for Wickham. Bamford looks like a potential future England international striker and we only got £1.5m. I can't remember the last time we sold a player for a good fee. Probably Collymore. Since then we have sold for far too little and watched players leave for free. We are terrible for it.

If we are to sell Lansbury, Darlow or Lascelles I would want more than £5million each. £10m for Lascelles.

£10,000,000 for Lascelles!
f*** me, that's utter lunacy. 😱

Why is it? He's one of the few players in this league who has the potential to go right to the top. We don't need to sell & he's happy here. So we should only sell if a massive offer comes in. Otherwise we are better off to keep him.

He is on a long contract, performing well and as a youth team player before making an appearance Arsenal valued him at £5,000,000. Since then he has improved a lot and grown into an athlete. If another club wants him, they need to pay up. It's time we acted like other clubs do with our assets rather than accepting lower bids.

We missed a trick not signing Dorrans in the summer I think. He is an upgrade on Raddy, who is my favourite player, and would give us more options and tactical nous. I think this would be a very good signing.

Just not sure if he peaked 4 years ago....
