This looks a bit closer than it should have been!

Put them back in their prime and County might have the two or three best, most talented players on the pitch (not realy sure how good Thorpe was)! T.Johnson, Draper probably are proper County legends though (M.Johnson too in a way I guess).

But we have the bigger squad and perhaps younger legs (I've not worked it out!) Plus if Crossley in in better shape than Cherry nowadays that could be enough.

Surprised Hodge or even Laws aren't involved since they have been doing commentary. Forest seem a bit narrow to be honest! Maybe Ian McParland didn't fancy playing against Forest?

Bennett, knock him out,
Bennett, Bennett, knock him out!

Good to see Julian keeping his hand in, as it were.

So players like Colin Cooper, Scott Gemmil, Steve Stone, Ian Woan & the great Jason Lee don't count no?

The phrase 'legend is an overused word these days' is overused. Is that Darren Hayes from Cabbage Garden?

I'm with Kjetil. I think in their prime, that County team was better.

I watched a lot of Notts County as a kid, particularly when John Barnwell was manager. I stood on the left wing where Ady Thorpe did his skills. He was ace. Kind of like their Franz Carr. Not the same pace, but bit of a cult winger - amazing on his day, rubbish on others. County fans will love that he's playing.
