Thought I would share - found my old football '86 album in the loft and after a couple of nags from friends on Facebook I snapped all the team pics and stuck them on photobucket. Probably been seen before so sorry about that if this is repetition :)

if you follow the link in the pic you can click the magnifiying glass to see the pic at really hi res

I see Ian Butterworth there, I believe if Cloughie hadn't wanted him, we wouldn't have got Psycho either.

As a kid I seem to remember a pannini swap shop in the back of the executive stand. Did I dream this?

A nice idea to scan this in. Be good if anyone else has other Pannini albums from the other 1980s Forest squads to look at?

Apart from Birtles and Bowyer it was quite a young side that year which is interesting. Clough was clearly in the process of trying to build a new fighting squad from scratch.

This is a little before my first foray into stickers - am I imagining things or did the albums in the 80s cover all the way through to the Scottish leagues?

Crazy to see Wigley & Pearce here as coach, Birtles working for the post & Hodge doing commentary... almost 30 years later.

And poor old Steve Wigley still has the same haircut!

Lol i never even noticed Wigley. The book is complete but i used to take it with me to check ones i needed so it's really tatty, and because i was 10 at the time i had poor sticking skills. There were small team photos of division 2 clubs and half size Scottish club player pics. Billeh was apparently at elfsborg at the time so no funny pic of him.
Because of Liverpool there was no Europe that year so they had a section looking back at past glories including another page on forest, I'll get a snap of that too.

James Mcinally never heard of this lad?

Jim McInally , pretty underrated awesome right back. Unfortunately , never did recovered from when he had a spell of bad form and Clough pretty much ditch him and sold him off. Was so dissapointed when forest did that. Instead , forest then had the turtle slow gary fleming who had a nose bleed whenever he cross past the forest half.

I rated Jim McInally and was surprised when Cloughie sold him. By then though I'd learned not to question his decisions, however baffling they sometimes seemed at the time.

Ah that's good! I thought I was going mad recalling desperately trying to get a St Mirren player

Do they still do match and shoot annuals each year? Or do kids just shoot each other instead now?

Excellent Scottish fullback, who unfortunately fell out with Clough after one good season, and was packed of back to Scotland where he had an above average career.

He was great! It was like having two psycho's at times.
