My favourite foreign Forest player is Majewski, I dont count British as foreign.

In terms of non Forest, the most fun one I have seen is Jay Jay Okocha so maybe my favourite. I also loved that Milan side of 04-08 and Pirlo was amazing in that.

There's never been any doubt in my mind that the best foreign player to ever grace the U.K is Denis Bergkamp. Someone quite rightly mentioned the brilliant goal against Newcastle but I was in the Golden Fleece on Mansfield Road when he scored the goal against Argentina and the pub went wild.

Bob McKinlay
De Bruyne for me

Wonderful player, there has never been a passer close to what he can do in the history of the game.

If we are going for foreign player, playing in the UK, but not necessarily for Forest, then that big girl striker, Erling Haarland might just take the biscuit.
With >20 goals to his credit already, he has scored more than some clubs, including the Sheep when they were last in the top division.
And you know what... Man city don't even know how to use Harrland properly therefore are not getting the best from him yet.

And yes, God help the rest of the league when Pep figures out how to properly fit young Haaland into his team.

I was at the England Holland game in 88. Whole of Düsseldorf seemed to be wearing Gullit hats with in built dreds. Humiliating match, but memorable crazy few days. We did a pit stop in Amsterdam on the way.

Baggio was another extremely cool all time great at that tournament. With his ponytail, Buddism and carrying Italy to the final. Very harsh that he's now remembered at the that one for a missed penalty. Think he played through injury in the final too.
People forget his incredible talent, always had the ability to turn any match into an exhibition, made opposition players raise their game

I remember seeing Gullit play for PSV at the city ground in a friendly in '86.... it was like he was from a different planet, probably the best player I've ever seen in the flesh, and don't forget I've seen steve stone half naked in the bog!

A hell of a lot of choice. Messi is the best ever for me, anyone who played for Brazil from 1998-2006ish same with France, pretty much any midfielder or forward who played for Arsenal 2002-2004ish, pretty much any midfielder or forward who played for Spain 2010-2012.

But my personal favourites because I watched a lot more Italian football as a kid than I did English are:

Paolo Maldini; growing up as a pretty decent left footed defender (I know Maldini was naturally right footed!) I idolised Maldini, still never seen a player make it look as easy as he did (van Dijk probably came closest at his best), while my mates all wanted the boots that the likes of Beckham, Henry, Ronaldo, Zidane etc. were wearing I wanted Maldini's. I also have a pet named after him.

Francesco Totti; Remember being desperate for Roma to come on Football Italia just to see what Totti would do, absolutely loved him. I firmly believe he's the most underrated number 10 to ever play the game, players change in my "Best Ever XI" all the time but Totti is always the first attacker. There's also never been a better or more accurate chipper of the ball either.

Shout out to Nesta, Buffon, Pirlo and Gattuso too.

Roberto Baggio for me. Loved how he came across such a warm, humble, and respectful human being although he was such a huge football star, and how his calmness off the pitch matched his playing style on the pitch.

He could glide around everyone with a combination of technique, skill and pace. The way he judged distance and timing between himself and defenders to just brush them aside. Every touch appeared to be perfect. Then once through on goal, there was never usually much doubt. Not to mention his free-kicks. He could do it all.

So many magical moments over his career and one of the biggest was when, just like Stuart Pearce, he avenged his penalty miss by taking another one in a major international tournament and scoring. I had a huge smile on my face for him.

Also, he scored one of my favourite ever goals. The most incredible first touch as the ball arrives over his shoulder that deceives the goalkeeper, and the inch perfect long ball from Pirlo makes it even better.

Sums up Baggio to perfection.
