Jolly good idea.

I wonder how they are going to keep in touch with an older member who doesn't belong to the specified groups and who doesn't have contact via twitter/X etc.?

Will there be a special section on the OS?

Indeed will there be any special contact at all? Or is it a talking shop between the football cognoscenti as usual?

To be fair, it's a not a representative body.

It's a fans advisory body. It will have a range of fans, hoping that with sufficient numbers, most views will be covered.

Claims on non-representation are a weak form of criticism, imho.

We need more fan engagement, this will deliver it. Will it be gold standard? Probably not. Will it be better than none? Surely so.

And, as its a EPL initiative, a best practice will emerge to set the standard.

If you want criticise the club for anything here, is that it's only doing this because it's a condition of the league.

My 84 year old mum’s GP have decided no one can do repeat prescriptions via phone or even email, it has to be via their extremely complicated portal online.

You’ve got zero chance of a pensioner friendly fan forum if a lady who takes about 25 different drugs to keep her alive can’t order them without IT assistance

I said it's a jolly good idea, no criticism.

Simply wondering if we're going to be told what the fans are advising and what the club intend to do about it. As yet nothing along those lines. So those independents who might wish to stand for the fans have no real idea what they are taking on.

There is quite a bit ob the EPL site about v what they expect from Fan Advisory Boards.

If I was standing, I'd start by reading the associated documents like the 'Fan Engagement Standard' etc

Didn't they try and do something similar a couple years back and it not go anywhere? 😄
Engage with me as a fan, Forest, and give me hot water in the sinks and my membership gift package that you promised me.

30% off Retro Shirts and empty initiatives that are about as useful as the Supporters Club doesn't do much to engage me. Getting what I paid for and being able to wash my hands after holding me cock is what I'm after!

Ah, but you're a guy who obviously, from your many posts on here, looks around and likes to read all this stuff. Some of us don't.

When you dealing with the public, you should try and proceed at the speed of the slowest. I know that the ones who don't enjoy reading this guff probably don't enjoy committees etc, but don't we deserve to know what's going on with a brief synopsis of the plan from the club without all the preliminary boning up? Which might determine whether you're prepared to apply.

Like the current ticketing fiasco, a little communication goes a long way.

Im sorry but I think that's utter nonsense.

If you're applying to be on a fan advisory board but can't be arsed to look around, what's your value add to be on the board, apathy?

How have those fan groups been chosen to have representation on the board? Not saying they shouldn’t, but a bit of transparency would be nice.

Maybe they could even open it up to other “fan groups” to offer representation? LGBT trickies, or god forbid, LTLF. We could nominate Omar and Emmerson to tell the board how shit Forest is at everything.

I'd love to represent the fans. Nothing changes if some clapper just agrees with everything and tells the club how brilliant they are, like it's been in the past.

On the other side of the coin, if the club gets told that everything they do is shite, they'll change the wrong things, prioritize the wrong things and likely waste a bunch of effort.
Balanced and realistic feedback is a more sensible path.

Should have me and Rzar on a 2-man panel. The yin and yang.

I'd have my best grumpy face on while he had his Forest foam hand waving about shouting 'YOU REDS' constantly. What could go wrong? 😆

I would be in favour of this, mostly because it would be bloody hilarious.

Probably that they chose the only 5 (counting the various supporters club branches as part of the same thing) groups that are both notable and formally organised as such - and then to get the 6th added one of the overseas branches of the Supporters Club. I don't see anyone obvious being left out here.

I agree that LGBTQ+Trickies would have been an easy choice, and I assume the club would have included them, but I don't think they formally exist anymore - the limited company has been wound up and all of their social media accounts appear to have been deleted.
