There was a lot of evil things done by BBC people in the past.

I'm not defending the BBC per se, though I did work for them for several years and found the same flawed human beings there as I did at Sky and Channel 4 for instance. It employs tens of thousands of people all over the country - there are bad apples in every large organisation and while absolutely the management did cover-up some appalling things to protect some of their "stars" to protect their own reputation it does not make the institution bad.

I have a bigger issue with the policies of the Catholic Church than the Beeb.
