Europa League

Well, after tonight it goes to show the state of Scottish football. Rangers out. Celtic out. Hearts out. No Scottish clubs left in Europe already.

Of interest to us and the Championship, Birmingham beat Nacional at home 3-0 to make it into the group stages. This is going to make it interesting how they will deal with the fixture list. I don't think it will affect our fixture against them though.

The most interesting, to me at least, is Shamrock Rovers have gone to Partizan Belgrade and won to get themselves into the group stages.

EDIT: Actually, it will affect us. The second round of group games is on the 29th September and we play them on the 1st October, so get ready for that match to be moved to Sunday.

Wilson and Commons's euro adventure. That Celtic fan who was telling us how they're a massive club who play in europe but we said they'll go out to some crappy team.

Never understood why Ireland didn't have a stronger domestic league. They produce plenty of top class footballers.

Mostly Rufus because there was a long-held stigma against "foreign" sports in Ireland - such as Football and Rugby - and professionalism came late to the Irish game, hence why the most talented Irish players ended up in England or Scotland.

The move to a summer league has helped, as has success in Europe.

And bear in mind, there's less than 4 million people in Ireland so it's a significantly smaller market.

I thought the Birmingham game on the Saturday was a 5.20 ko for tv?

Pretty good draw as far as Spurs are concerned.

We went into yesterday's draw as the highest-ranked club, so we weren't going to get too many surprises anyway.

Rubin Kazan is a bit of a schlep (Tatarstan) but PAOK and Shamrock Rovers are closer to home.

I would imagine Harry will continue to rely on our second-stringers and youth players for most of these group stage matches and only play our first team when we get to the business end of the competition next year.

Full details of this season's Europa League.

Has he singed yet?
No worries, Adebayor will fire in the goals for you. :D

P.S - how do you feel about him signing for you by the way?

Seeing as he hates Arsenal even more than us Spurs fans do, I've got no problem with him joining us.

Looking forward to the Wolves game next week to see him in action!

Eintracht are playing some lovely football, pinging it about all over the place.

Surprisingly, Chelsea have left Eden Hazard on the bench.
