I put a tenner on England to win 9-0 at 5-0 and cashed it out for a good profit near the end.
What a performance. This England team is going to be hard to beat. Free-flowing, confident. They are brilliant to watch.

Has this 8-0 win sparked any draw in interest from the mainstream? (attendances, viewing figures, Talksport focus etc.)
I know they'll be pushing the competition hard because of diversity trends, but even with them I've not noticed many everymen getting into it (looking at the relatively few posts in this thread for example)

Only because you posted and its topical I have to admit I am not interested in it at all really. I am looking forward to the South Africa test series in cricket and the Rugby Union tests on the weekend. However if people are enjoying it fair play! If I ever had a girl Id want her to play Footy and Cricket if she was interested it but I just dont find it exciting enough to watch it.

I quite like watching the ladies play football. The skills are there, but somehow it's a bit like watching the First XI at school then going to see the local factory team dismember their opponents.
There is a lack of bite and nous. And the first thing they do after a tough tackle is adjust the pony tail, which appears to be part of the uniform.
This all appears to be a bit misogynistic, but it isn't meant to be. The standard is much better than it was when I first started watching them and, after all, the lads have been playing for more than a hundred years, so are likely to have rather more history to call upon. Vive la difference.

And I note that though England were the designated away team last night, they played in their usual strip because the red England kit and the green Northern Ireland kit might have presented problems to those with colour blindness. The only vestige of the England away strip was the gaudy socks the girls wore.

Tough game. England looking like they've got the momentum after those substitutions but this is mentally tough.
Going into extra time, Spain have been so good. Great gameplan, great shape. But England can do this if they keep pressing.
It could easily go to penalties. Both teams have that desire not to lose.

Not quite sure how they're managing to do this, but this England women's team seem a completely different outfit under the new manager.
Wiegman still hasn't lost a game in 90 minutes as England manager. Quite incredible. 15 wins and 2 draws from 17 games. 15 wins and 3 draws now.
Tougher challenges ahead, but this was a huge test and she's delivered again.

So far the Swedish right back rugby tackled someone on the break and didn't even get a booking for it.
Good to see the refereeing is just as weak in the women's game.
