Does anyone remember League 1 Derby County? (STILL the worst team in history!)

Surely amongst their support somebody is trying to say "lets calm down abit lads with these type of signings, we've been burnt before." Surely somebody has some sense?
Nope. They believe that League 1 will be a walk in the park for these group of players that no one else wanted, because it is comprised entirely of amateur pub league players.

The rude awakening is going to be so, so funny.

One called Rammy03 is but they've just set about him saying he's a wum and must be a Forest fan.
That's the problem with that poxy forum. Any difference of opinion and you're a Forest wum.

Can't honestly remember anyone on here being called a Derby wum for having an opinion.

Old, slow and injury prone, the DCFC rebuild is based on the Billy Beanes moneyball approach in reverse.

Great to see lessons being learned

If he'd paid HMRC in part or in full, we'd know about it by now.
Not necessarily. David Clowes is a private man and will not be airing any laundry in public, be it clean or otherwise. A client of mine whom appears to know him well and was involved with the consortium trying to purchase Pride Park for Kirchner said much the same. He also described him as a straight up guy and would be the type of person that would have paid the debts in full.

If what Eric has said about the purchase price, it would equate to the last update on the known debt excluding the sums owed to Mel.

My presumption would be that he's a passionate fan and did what Doughty did and Fawaz thereafter and just paid the bills. Given the alleged wealth he has, it would probably take a dent in the region of about 20% and seeing he is a pretty mad fan, I think he would pay the whole lot off.

But that is pure speculation on my part and we will find out when the administrators report sees the light of day.

How the hell have they signed Conor Hourihane with a £5k pw wage cap?

Is it £5k for sure then? Wasn't aware of any numbers or parameters in the public domain.

Think there is also a limit on agents fees- and remember signing a player is one thing, all signings or renewed contracts have to go for approval via the EFL. If Reading are anything to go by it's no quick process for registration.
