Does anyone remember League 1 Derby County? (STILL the worst team in history!)

First Team Squad
I tried to resist, held off for almost 12 hours but… I went on their thread about us!
absolutely hilarious!
one post has said how our wages must have spiralled prior to our spending spree and went on to list all the players that left and arrived last season… of the ones that they had coming in, there are only 2 who are actually still in the squad, the rest have all returned from their loan's or been sent on loan them selves.
im not sure who is borrowing their brain cell today but they need to share it round a bit more.

Yeah, it's straw clutching in the extreme. If I was a Derby fan watching my fellow fans posting stuff like that I'd be embarrassed.

Thankfully I am a Forest fan, so I just find their desperation absolutely hilarious. 😂

It's like the attendance thing, yes they had around 2k more than us first home game this season... But our stadium is 4k smaller, all very pathetic.

Message to Derby fans everywhere who are reading this thread -

Yes we know we have a massive wage budget now. Yes we know we've signed a ton of players.

That's because we got promoted.

And we did it all within the rules, we submitted our accounts and complied with FFP, we didn't try any sleight of hand like fiddling amortisation and selling the stadium to ourselves for a grossly inflated price.

And, perhaps most importantly of all - We didn't spend any money we didn't have and couldn't afford to spend until we actually had access to that money because we got promoted first.

We're now very carefully hatching our eggs whereas you counted your chickens before you even had the basket to put the eggs in.

You may have had the EFL on strings - We got promoted and now can loosen the purse strings.

Tough life isn't it?

One of them on their forum was asking where all the forest fans had gone and whether we thought we were too big for them now.

Whilst we do definitely consider ourselves too big for them now the reason we're not there is because we're all banned...for really doing not much either. In taking-the-piss-levels it was probably a 4/10. Just shows you how embarrassed and sensitive they are nowadays.

I was banned for 1 post suggesting they direct their attention to Quantuma instead of the EFL. :LOL:

You can't even try to help them without their ignorance overpowering common sense for self-defeat.

They can now enjoy their peaceful congregation of fumbducks collectively circle-jerking their ignorance into irrelevance.

Well, surely Clowes is a decent bloke and all that, but he‘s up against the absolute chad that is Evangelos Marinakis, and that argument is only going to go one way.

Whilst there has been some consideration of this topic, and the polite thing to do of not wanting to kick someone when they‘re down, I would counter that by reminding everyone it is Derby, and the opportunity to give them a Begbie-style shoeing whenever possible, should be retained!

Hehe, they are still banging on about the wages that our existing squad were on, seem to feel that we might lose grabban soon as he will feel over looked… I can’t believe they havent scouted him already, he ticks all their recruitment boxes bar one:
unattached/on a free - yep
34 years old+ - yep
didnt manage half the games last season - yep
would sink to their level - nope

What they haven't considered is just how much of the Gunter money we still have left.
