Does anyone remember League 1 Derby County? (STILL the worst team in history!)

But I thought Lawrence was going to take a £35k per week pay cut to stay at Derby!? Say it ain't so!
Nope he’s off quicker than you can shout

“run Mason here’s the rozzers, f@ck Richie let him get caught and I’ll be captain”

On one hand, I feel a bit sorry for the young lads that are going to play for them next season, it's going to be absolutely brutal for them.

But on the other hand, a season like Bolton's 2019/20 campaign is the very least that club and its fans deserve. And even then, I'd argue that they are very lucky that is as bad as it'll get for them.

Don’t feel bad for them Ash,

have you forgot I’m buying the Derby fans slippers and a dildo ?

😂😂😂 next door are handing the captaincy around like god bless yer, how about just wait and see who turns up first game of the season eh?

Oh I feel a bit sorry for their young players, but that's as far as my sympathy goes. 😂

Their fans are going to get exactly what they deserve next season; humiliation and misery by the bucket load on a weekly basis.
Years and years of being delusional and arrogant in the same vein, its definitely what they deserve.

😂😂 not seen Larry for a while, good to see him back, wonder if he wants the captaincy?

Speaking of "that" Bolton season, I hadn't realised Kurt Zouma's cat-kicking brother played for them then

Oh my.
I've just moved to Derby in the last 48hrs, got a 5 year contract upgrading the A38 to do.
It's years since I've been the City Ground, haven't lived locally in Nottingham for over 2 decades but I'm going to make the most of the next 5 years to rip the piss out of the sheep shagging wankers every opportunity I get.
Where in Derby are you? There are quite a few Derby reds on here.

About a mile back towards the city centre from the main Royal hospital. Ended up in there yesterday as one of the lads I'm working with tried unsuccessfully to chop his fingers off 🤣
I think they call the area Stocky? Stockbrook? Something like that. Anyway, it's just a room fir a month or two until the work starts properly, then I'll probably sort mesen out with a flat, work will subsidise most of the rent.

According to Nixon, Rooney had agreed a deal to sign Hourihane on a 3 year deal! He really was utterly deluded if he thought the EFL would rubber stamp that.

He would have been on a fortune for L1 standards, and they would have been paying creditors over 3 years!

More evidence he had zero understanding of the situation.

I'd be open to sending some of our players there on loan to help them out.

Harry Arter, Nicolas Ioannou, Nuno Da Costa and Xande Silva spring to mind.

From what the locals are saying at work this morning the realisation that this Clowes fella ain't another Mike Ashley is of great concern.

They seem to think all is required is chucking a load of money at the problem and everything will be fine, whereas Clowes has a reputation for taking things slowly and putting actual building blocks in place.

They're flat out f***ing clueless.

Numerous posters in this thread have gone into good detail why their situation is a shitload more dire than they are kidding themselves it is. The fact that they are looking at promotion instead of stability and avoiding relegation shows how far detached they are from their plight.

Clowes does actually seem to be what they need, but their fans will probably be protesting for new owners when they aren't top 6 mid-season

Couldn’t agree more Alf,

As rivals I’m loving their pain, but that aside trying to be sensible for a moment I’m staggered more of them don’t see what’s ahead, if the debt isn’t settled in full then to say they’ll be fielding a scratch team is a vast understatement,

anyone owed a penny will kick off and rightly so if they attempt to throw money at the problem, I’m sure the EFL ( who have been poor in my opinion) will closely monitor any spending.

the best they can hope for is avoiding another relegation next season.
