Signing two quality players in a day both "footballers" as well, you bet your bottom dollar im horny pal.

Buy a striker like austin before 3rd of august and the missus will be sleeping in the spare room for her own safety.

I agree about the away tactics this season. To do well we will have to be more adventurous. We are building a squad which should be able to set up for all eventualities. We also need to hit the ground running and start from the very first game.

We seem to be building a squad that should not be fearing anyone. its a long time since ive seen forest play without fear.

Excuse me, but what the hell is going on?
A proper winger? Pace and tricks?
This could be a great signing, and unlock the potential in one or more of our opportunity-starved strikers.
Also agree that this could be the catalyst for other signings, who might up until this point have been sitting on the fence undecided.
Excellent signing IMHO

Yeah, certainly for wing play we are starting to look like Hull did last season. They had some weaker areas but there wingers were top notch. Elmohamady and Brady I think it was.

Good wingers definitely have a massive impact in this league.

Leicester have always looked dangerous for that reason with Lloyd Dyer, Ben Marshall, Gallagher and Knockaert.

Palace had Zaha, Bolasie and Dobbie (who's a bit like Mackie) last year. Cardiff had Craig Noone, Conway, Bo-Kyung, Tommy Smith.

When Newcastle hammered the league they had Routledge, Gutierrez and Lovenkrands.

Speaks for itself.

Yep, also when they each went up Swansea had Dyer and Sinclair, Reading had McAnuff & Kebe, Wolves had Kightly and Jarvis.

I think a decent set of wingers based around a solid team is a must for the Championship. Even in our 3rd finish season we had Ando as an out and out winger playing most games.

Was that the Routledge we'd have had if Marthur had been willing to go to 9 grand a month from 8?

A top winger haggling over 52 grand a year was holding us to ransom, but bringing Greening AND Boateng in to replace McKenna at something like 20 grand a week isn't McLaren doing the same?

I'm relieved at our new signings more than anything else. But I don't expect to storm the league with them, unless all the other teams have Mark Arthur doing their shopping.

That summer totally f**ked up our momentum. Was billy there when we almost signed Routledge or was it McClaren? Either way we ballsed that up good and proper.

Just can't believe we survived that season, it was the worst since getting relegated to league one. This one is laced with optimism I can't effing wait.

9 grand a month? I don't believe for a minute that Routledge would have been on 2grand a week if that's what you're saying.

He'd have been on near 10k p/w.

And what really happened about Wesley Verhoek? Was it homesickness or Marthur bullshitting us with his derisory bidding method re player contracts?

Don't remind us, please

Arthur's the kind of bloke who'd set a £100 budget for a date, spend £60 on a meal, £30 on slurps, £10 on taxis and when she's bent over begging for it he'd have to refuse because spending a few quid on a pack of Johnny's is over-budget.

I heard he was offered 12k a week, picked up the pen to sign, and the contract said 10k a week, and he walked out.

I'm already that anyway so no probs here.

Post a pic of yourself up.

Grow up, its nothing but a bit of banter. If you can't laugh at yourself you have got no chance in life. Im ginger, have a ridiculous last name and have a big nose also. I couldn't give 2 squirts about what anybody said about me. Fact of the matter is that deep down, we all know she is proper sound and in actual fact, she's not a bad looking girl. (her arse is immense)

I wish people wouldn't be so PC and try to be do gooders. You all know deep down you think her nose is massive.

Nottingham offers 1.5 million, Olympiakos said no!

According to some British media reports, the direction of Nottingham Forest has recently made a financial offer to about one and a half million euros to its counterpart Olympiakos to redeem the contract Djamel Abdoun and take home the Reds this summer. A proposal quickly rejected by the Greek club, tried, of course, very poor. According to Greek media, a meeting could be forthcoming between Nottingham Forest athletic director and officials of Piraeus tomount of transfer of Algerian player. The English club should increase its financial offer hope to convince the Greek leaders to sell their player.

People are saying the same thing about Djebbour, it's all crap bopefully, you think they might have made a bit more of an issue with the PFA etc?

There might have been some truth about McClaren wanting to make up the shortfall about his wages but I don't believe either MA or Hassan/Jim Price ever dicked about with personal terms after they had already been agreed, there'd be a lot more being said about it.
