Just noticed that we have no one on more than 4 yellows for the entire season to date. Whilst this is, on the face of it, good to see - no chance of suspensions - it occurs to me that we might just be too nice?

It's been a pleasure to watch the football this season so far. We play a fair game and we are respectful of the rules and regulations, the other players and the officials. (Although of the latter it amazes me at times).

Irrespective of our performances, I am happy to allow our football to do the talking rather than to sink to the ugly recesses, dirty tactics and unprofessionalism exhibited by some teams.

We can be hard and ruthless yet fair.

I think the only player to serve a suspension for yellow cards this season, was Bertrand.

Unfortunately these teams don't seem to get punished against us. See, Sheff Utd had two players sent off yesterday, yet Doncaster came to our place and did nothing but kick us off the pitch first half - their first booking? 90th minute.

Also, Wes' booking was incredibly harsh as their player sprinted sideways into him from 5 yards away then fell over. Wes literally did nothing other than run in a straight line. Typical moronic linesman decision for you.

Remember Bertrand was also booked for waiting at a throw in for a sub to be made. The ref booked him, then let the sub take place. Absolutely incredible.

Why? In the context of the game - ie no Doncaster players being booked for persistant fouling (number 18 especially, fouled Raddy 3 times from behind in one run and got nothing!) for Wes to be booked for something which was barely looked a foul, was harsh to say the least.

The Bertrand thing was just ridiculous.

And I didn't bring up cynical tactics but I'm sure we all saw things like Chambers being put in a headlock by that Cardiff thug? Must be a reason why we don't get penalties for blatant things like that. I'm not saying we're golden, we should have given penalties away against Preston and Watford, but those were due to poorly timed tackles rather than anything dirty.

I'm of the opinion that if it's a foul in the box, it's a penalty whatever. None of this 'it's soft' crap. I don't care if there's 10 penalties a game, everybody should play to the rules and the officials should properly enforce them, not repeatedly cop out of things. I'm talking as a general football fan here, not a Forest fan.
