It's taken me a long time to notice this but wasn't Rochdale playing non-league football from 1907 until 1921 when they joined the Footbal League.
It’s the attention to detail on the badges created by @Alf-engelos Mindminackers that do it for me, tipping the content from merely humorous to borderline-genius.
